[The voice may be familiar to many, and the face in essence too, but as Ginny Weasley leans back from the camera to address the network, it might be clear to those who know her that she's different today. For one, she's wearing her Gryffindor uniform, all robes and tie and cardigan. For another, she's younger and thinner—almost drawn, and though her eyes are as quick and bright as ever, they carry a wariness and weariness that haven't been present in years. Her hair is still long, though shorter than she's been wearing it in the City, and there's no mistaking the still-healing split lip or faded bruising along her cheekbone and eye.

None of this seems to bother the witch at the moment, though. There are more important matters to attend to.]

Hullo. I seem to have taken a wrong turn at school—not unusual, really, the stairs like to play tricks—but I was on my way to a classroom and ended up in this, er, charming place. And while I'm terribly fond of London, I know this isn't it; and honestly, I'm running late as it is.

[There's a hardness in her jaw and in her tone that the City softened long ago, but she isn't demanding answers like she had the moment she 'arrived.' She has her bearings, now. To an extent. She pauses, then smiles, shaking off the very real irritation for a more charming façade; come, now, help the innocent school girl find her way home.]

Hardly back a month from holidays and I've already got loads of things to do! I'm not usually late, you know. I don't mind missing a few minutes of Professor Carrows' class, for example— [She chuckles, shrugging.] —but I'm sort of in charge of this meeting and they're all fairly useless without me. I've read a guide, of course, but I don't exactly trust everything I read nowadays.

[OOC; ginny's been hit with Feels Like the First Time! she's back to being 16 years old and for her, it's february of 1998, so she's still at hogwarts and helping neville lead the DA and causing general havoc with the student's rebellion.

I don't think it's so easy to just stop, either. It's a habit, isn't it?

[Like. He could technically tell Arthur to shove it with his orders and whatnot because he could just say it doesn't matter or count here. Which isn't quite the same, but.

It's a habit, and a comfort which he doubts thinking of war really is. But still.]

[It's odd, isn't it, how her self three years in the past can speak so easily of the war while her older self refuses. Maybe it's perspective. Distance, perhaps, from the horrible thing. It's an awful memory for one and so fresh and recent for the other that it's her life, why bother keeping it secret?]

Yeah, I suppose. [A pause, then she chuckles, soft and wry.] As long as I'm stuck, I expect this'll be the best time for me to get some real sleep, isn't it? D'you have any idea what it feels like to think people're going to burst into your bedroom in the middle of the night, just drag you away?

[But she says it so calmly, so airily. Almost like it's a nuisance rather than a threat, like a joke.]

Eurgh, waking up to Amycus Carrows' face. The stuff of nightmares.

[Yeah, it does hit him that he's never really heard Ginny talk about it before. And certainly not like this.

He gives a smile to match her chuckle, soft and wry as well, because... She doesn't know where it would come from, now, but, oh, does he know.]

I do have an idea.

Oh.

[And then she frowns a little.]

I'm sorry that you do. No one should.

Yeah. I'm sorry you do too.

[She brushes it off, this kindness from a stranger, but clearly she appreciates it all the same with the way she shrugs, smiles.]

It was only a matter of time.

A lot of powerful people have a problem with my family. Let's put it that way.

[She pauses, then passes a hand over her face, pushes it through her hair, abruptly changes the subject.]

I'm sorry. I'm just prattling on about things you don't even know about when you barely know me. It's been a long day, I suppose.

[Probably best, considering she won't believe her own brother when he tries "you're cursed." So she chuckles, nodding a little as if to say, "Yeah, you did," then tips her head thoughtfully. She blurts it out before she really thinks it's a good idea: ]

You're a lot nicer than I expected.

[And then she immediately looks sheepish and slightly mortified, gaze skittering up and away.]

I mean. Considering.

[Wasn't Merlin a Slytherin?]

[She is obviously trying to be the least offensive thing, here. Which is probably amusing because Ginny Weasley normally doesn't give a damn about being offensive most times.]

Your House. I mean, not that Slytherin's awful— [Yes. Yes it is. Ginny, you are lying to Merlin.] —but it's not like they really get on with Gryffindor. I'm biased, really. That's all.

[He gives a very brief, almost sharp laughter at that. Ohh.]

Oh, no, I'm not from your world. Not. Not... me exactly. I don't exist in just your world, or yours and mine, apparently, but a lot of them, so...
