Rapunzel-san mentioned stars the other day. I decided to tell some stories from my home world about them, along with the names I recall, and look through the library for other stories and names.

However, it made me realize some of us may be from the same world, but you would still know stories and legends of the stars I don't. And there are other people from other worlds that would have completely different stars, and different stories.

Would you please share your stories of stars from home with us?

I have been fortunate enough to avoid any curses thus far... not that I doubt that I'll be affected, sooner or later.

Given my lack of personal experience, I've been trying to gather what information is already available. Given the turnover rate in the populace, however, there are certain limitations to that approach. There are the guides, of course, which have been moderately helpful... still, most of my information is anecdotal at best.

Yes, you likely will. I can't imagine anyone going long without them here, seeing as how many people explained them to me when I arrived.

Hmmm.... Same. Most people would rather give information on the curses versus anything else, and the deities weren't too helpful, when I DID find them. They're also hard to track.

I've only managed to get my hand on one guide so far. What others did you find?

And I've certainly witnessed their effects on a significant enough percentage of the populace to appreciate how widespread and potent they can become. They have an unquestionable potential to pose an immense risk.

[He frowns at that for a moment, but continues on.]

These "deities" hardly make themselves available, do they? I haven't had the privilege of speaking with them yet, but I'm rather doubtful that they'd be forthcoming with information based on anything I've heard about them. The other guides I've found seem to be somewhat outdated versions... the bulk of the basic information is the same.

So I hear. I've been told some of them can get cruel. Hopefully those don't happen often.

They were very close-lipped. I wasn't even sure if they were doing it on purpose at first. And yes, very difficult to find. I've only seen two so far my entire time here, and only once.

Oh, so the other guides don't have any extra information that might be helpful? And if they're outdated...maybe someone needs to make a new one? [He suggests that, but as he's so new himself, he has no plans of making it. There's still more he needs to learn first.]

Hopefully, indeed. I have been tracking the curses that I have personally witnessed, and may devise a means of measuring the potential harm of each. Perhaps these statistics could be of use in the future, to others who find themselves here. Eventually, I'll need to look into obtaining what information I can about the deities as well.

I'm not certain how recently the one I was given was, but there were some that seem to have fallen out of use that I was also offered. I am beginning to think, however, that any such attempt to monitor and explain the City should be a consistently updated document.

You're more thorough about this stuff than I am. I haven't properly tracked them, other than my entries to the network. The deities are hard to find.... But if I run into them again I'll gather whatever information I can and let you know about it.
