( a half captured laugh starts the feed off, the video clicking to the life underneath ikki’s fingers. there’s a second delay between complete darkness as he removes his palm from the camera lens, and the extra bedroom in akira’s apartment that agito had laid claim on. . . but, whatever! they’ve got a plan! it’s late at night, all of the lights in the apartment have long since been turned off and ikki is nestled against the threshold of agito’s bedroom window. )

You had better be ready, Kazu! ( pause. ) You remember the plan, right?

What's to forget? C'mon, let's get him while his guard's still down.

Haha! That asshole won’t know what hit him! ( he lunges from the window then, propelling himself forward and towards agito, who is currently still blissfully unaware of the impending doom about to strike down upon him. it takes him barely a moment to climb onto the bed, grabbing onto to agito in an attempt to both pin back his limbs and hoist him up so kazu could properly restrain him. ) C’mon, now’s the time!

( even when grabbed, agito just blinked; he was dazed and-- still terribly unaware of most (if not all) of what was going on around him. he gave a very, very weak tug against ikki’s hands, if only so he could get them back into the position they had been in before, and tried to just- go back to sleep. )

Shhhh! ( TRIUMPH. to the camera, the subsequent moments probably looks like a brief blur of rope and limbs as the cord loops around agito's body, knotting with each circle. )

Should we string him up here or what?

Hell no, we’re bringing this bastard back with us. He broke the pact! ( he sounds fairly offended by this. he loops his arms around agito’s elbows, lifting them up for kazu. )

Get his wrists too!

... is that what this is ab--fuck. ( was that waking movement. is Agito moving. hastily, Kazu ties an extra knot around the wrists, because however bad of an idea this is, it's worse to let Agito get free. )

( unfortunately, Kazu yanks him away with the loose end. huh, this is kind of like a leash, isn't it. ) … Sorry, man, it's for your own good!

We’re taking you back home. ( he gives the rope a test jerk, making sure it’s safe and secure before he bothers to try and move him. damn, good job, kazu. this is perfect. ) Alright, let’s get him the fuck outta here.

( those seemed to be the magic words to cue in Akira, utterly baffled at how these (way too noisy) guys kept getting inside his apartment in the last few days to steal Agito-- but the scene unfolding in front of his eyes as he opened the door was... something else. )

AKIRA! DON’T JUST STAND THERE, YOU SHITHEAD!

… Ah, but it’s really not my business how your team likes to play. ( pause, eyeing the ropes. so damn weird, man. all of you. ) It’ll be a problem if you break him any further, though.

( says the guy who broke his ribs to start, come on. ) We were trying to keep him down!

Yeah, yeah—and you were gonna do that anyway! We can talk later.

[ while Ikki deals with the non-fight, Kazu grabs what is presumably the least cooperative shark ever and heads for the window. nothing about this is liable to end well. ]

[crowing]

You're a good man, Akira!

( he whispers the words at him, mostly to keep agito from hearing, before turning around to help kazu out with the task of bringing the shark back into the apartment.

agito's too difficult, but he knows akito will be much more calm about the whole ordeal. reaching over, he snaps the eyepatch over his other eye before grabbing onto his legs. )

C'mon, let's go.

[ Calmer, yes. As soon as that eyepatch slid over, all struggling from that small body ceased. But with the change came-- wincing, too. ]

Ikki. The rope hurts.

[ Not that he's unwilling to deal with it, or anything like that. Just a statement. ]

[ oh good, less struggling. On the other hand, if they've got fewer than thirty seconds and they're both going out through the window—Kazu edges sideways, pressing a little close to the frame to make room for a simultaneous jump just in case. ]

You wanna take him?

[crowing]

Nah. Just don't jostle him too much.

Go first, I'll let go once you're through.

( it's a just in case situation, but if something comes up then kazu is the fastest between them and he can throw a stronger punch. he helps him get through the window along with akito, before he finally relinquishes his hold on akito's legs. he didn't need to hold onto him as well if agito wasn't in charge, that stupid bagworm bastard.

he gives once more glance towards akira, then leaps out of the window behind them. )

[ It wasn't as if he could argue with that. ]

[ Instead, Akito just. shoved himself against Kazu as best as he possibly could to avoid splatting on the ground, or something. ]

[ Why is he always getting carried like this would be the question-- if he actually minded much. ]

[ luckily, after months, Kazu's got the hang of the apartment buildings, at the very least! with a shallow, quick breath, he jumps. he eases their way down off of window sills and traction from brick—races off in the instant wheels catch sparks off the ground. it's a bad idea to go top speed with company, but he makes decent time back to building five anyway, taking every shortcut and street he can remember. Akito gets deposited to his feet as soon as they slow to the landing. ]

[crowing]

( he's just a breath behind him, only a heartbeat, frayed wheels grinding against the rooftops, the streets, and the walls. it's effortless to keep up with him when kazu's not trying, just moving from point a to point b. he skids to a halt beside him, kicking up the tiniest of sparks against the ground. )

Sorry 'bout that. ( he offers before starting to pull at the ropes binding akito. they really weren't required at this point, akito would just walk up to their apartment with them. )

It‘s okay. [ Being woken up like that was a bit uncomfortable, but-- it was Ikki, so Akito wouldn’t complain. He waits patiently for Ikki to pull off the ropes, and once they were off, just kept one arm down at his side, while the other raised, wrapping around his middle over his ribs. ]

I would have come back in the morning, Ikki. Before you woke up-- you wouldn’t have noticed I was gone at all.

... yeah, why'd we go get him again?

[crowing]

AHHHHH?! You're questioning the leader? IS THAT IT? ( SHOULDER PUNCH GET. then he turns to akito after that. )

Why the hell are you two sleeping elsewhere in the first place? Are you stupid? It's not going to help your injuries at all.

Agito's more comfortable calling Akira in the middle of the night when he needs something.

Maybe if the leader had better ideas!

( but he glances from Akito to Ikki, and thiiis is not necessarily a conversation he wants to have. he heads towards the door to open it for them without quite waiting on their cue. )

C'mon, let's go upstairs.

( there's a hand coming down onto akito's shoulder. to stop him. )

( a pause and a quiet sigh. )

No, look. We're a team. I should be the first person he relies on— ( he jerks a thumb towards kazu. )

Okay. I got it. [ Agito might not be as willing as Akito-- but. It was a start. ]

It really hurts, and you pulled us out without grabbing onto our pain medication, so-- can we just go inside?

( worst plan. he glances at Ikki for a cue. )

[crowing]

( he pulls a little vial outta his pocket and tosses it towards kazu. he swiped it in the confusion, particularly because agito left it out on his nightstand. )

I already took it. Just take him inside.
