[ At first the video only shows the dark canopy of the trees above. It shudders and shakes as though whoever's holding on to the device doesn't necessarily understand what it does and that it's filiming. High childish humming filters through ( a butchered rendition of Row, row, row your boat ) and the feed dips as a child - a boy of less than eight - swings into view to clamber over a tree trunk. He giggles when he trips, landing in a pile of leaves and sending the phone itself sliding. ]

Mom, mommy. [ Drawing out the o sound. ] I'm bored of hide and seek. Come out so we can go play with daddy. [ Jumping to his feet. ] He'll make the ne-naw noise and it'll be great.

[ The very edge of the video catches him glance around himself. ] Not s'posed to be in the woods. He'll 'rest us.

( ooc: so stiles is de-aged and lost in the woods. he's a little shit and i don't have a journal for him because work so imagine this dumb kid ok. :) )

[ He fists one hand in his stupidly big shirt. ] Looking for my mom. [ More suspiciously. For a seven and three quarters year old. ] What're you doing?

Looking for you. Sheriff Stilinski told me you get lost out in the woods a lot.

[He's already heading out to find small Stiles.]

His name's not Sheriff, silly.

[ He just plops himself down on the fallen tree because the logical response is to talk to him. ] Plus, my mom and I were pro'lly playing hide and seek. She's winning.

VIDEO FOREVER

[weasleyrunt]

[Bright brown eyes peering at the camera, wide and curious. Then their owner leans back to reveal an extremely freckled, smiling face and wildly waving hands.]

[studmuffin]

[ He grins, tries to wave then realises he's still holding the device so it just shakes. ] Hi!

[weasleyrunt]

[She starts giggling.]

Stop, stop, you're making it earthquake!

[He's cute. :( ]

[ He settles back against his tree trunk. ] I didn't realise it was a camera. My dad has one so we can talk to my grandma but it's big. M'not supposed to touch it.

[weasleyrunt]

That's what this is? Smaller than any camera I've ever seen. Ours are big.

[Spreading her hands for emphasis.]

[ He needs to take an actual moment to get over how adorable Stiles is in this form, not that he's not usually there, but still. ]

[ He doesn't have a gun, Clint. He's seven and still a jerk. ] Who're you?

[ He figures as much, but goes along with the lie all the same. ]

You do, huh? That either means you're a bad guy or you're a cop. Right?

[ And, because of it, he's still holding up his hands. ] Clint. You know me. Well, when you're older, you do. And you're Stiles.
