[ At first the video only shows the dark canopy of the trees above. It shudders and shakes as though whoever's holding on to the device doesn't necessarily understand what it does and that it's filiming. High childish humming filters through ( a butchered rendition of Row, row, row your boat ) and the feed dips as a child - a boy of less than eight - swings into view to clamber over a tree trunk. He giggles when he trips, landing in a pile of leaves and sending the phone itself sliding. ]

Mom, mommy. [ Drawing out the o sound. ] I'm bored of hide and seek. Come out so we can go play with daddy. [ Jumping to his feet. ] He'll make the ne-naw noise and it'll be great.

[ The very edge of the video catches him glance around himself. ] Not s'posed to be in the woods. He'll 'rest us.

( ooc: so stiles is de-aged and lost in the woods. he's a little shit and i don't have a journal for him because work so imagine this dumb kid ok. :) )

Stiles?

Hi.

[ NO STRANGER DANGER HERE. ]

What are you doing?

Walkin'.

[ He fists one hand in his stupidly big shirt. ] Looking for my mom. [ More suspiciously. For a seven and three quarters year old. ] What're you doing?

Looking for you. Sheriff Stilinski told me you get lost out in the woods a lot.

[He's already heading out to find small Stiles.]

His name's not Sheriff, silly.

[ He just plops himself down on the fallen tree because the logical response is to talk to him. ] Plus, my mom and I were pro'lly playing hide and seek. She's winning.

I know, but that's his job.

[He doesn't say anything for a minute]

Did you wake up out there?

No, I let myself out.

[ Because this is a kid but it's still Stiles. ] For the game.

I'm close.

Are you psychic?

No. I can hear you.

I'm not making any --.

[ Huffing and then in a loud whisper. ] I'm not making any noise.

Enough that I hear you.

Do you have super hearing?

[ He kicks at some leaves. ] Super hearing plus a walkie talkie?

Both.

Wow.

[ You've made a friend for life, D. ] What d'you get bitten by?

A radioactive wolf.

There's no such thing. [ Scoffing. ] Everyone knows if you get bitten by a wolf you just become a werewolf. They're not radioactive, they just hate the mood. 'Sides, there's no wolves in california so you're lying.

[ Sticking his tongue out at the feed. ]

[He steps out from behind a tree, then.]

Are you gonna bet?

Yeah.

[ Oh wait, the guy's there so Stiles just fucking drops his device like it's meaningless. It is, it's not his Gameboy so. ]

[He just looks at Stiles a long moment, and then his eyes gleam red]

You're gonna lose.

[ Three.

Two.

One.

All in a rush --. ] THATWASAWESOME!

[Derek looks a little surprised, and then he gives a half-smile, pleased.]

Come on, kiddo. Let's get something to eat.

If you eat me my dad will arrest you.

[ But he's bounding over. ] Shouldn't we find my mom first though? Maybe she's hungry.

I don't eat little boys.

[He offers to pick him up.]

Where does your mom usually like to hide?
