GOOD MORNING, CITY!

[It is, in fact, the middle of the night but close enough to sunrise that she can say "morning." But that isn't the bizarre thing here. No, the bizarre thing is that Ginny Weasley is beaming so brightly, she might burst, practically vibrating with happiness and excitement.

Also, she's kind of covered in flour and glitter.]

Isn't it just a wonderful day? And it's only barely started! I know things have been so difficult lately, everything's just been so sad, and there's really no reason for it. Everything will sort out like always. Why get bogged down by the City at all? I know I've let it happen for far too long and that's a shame, really, when I've got so many reasons to be happy!

[She sets the camera precariously on something on the kitchen counter, leaning in close.]

I've got wonderful friends, doesn't matter what all those stupid nightmares say, no one's died on me since the war! And if anyone leaves to go home, well, I say good for them!

[This is punctuated by a fist banged on a cluttered kitchen counter and the camera topples and the video feed cuts out.]

Oh, Sulu's lovely, absolutely lovely. We go flying together! And sometimes lunch or dinner around lessons too. He's very good on a broom. Anyway, he offered to come over early this morning to help with the rest of the cupcakes, Merlin knows why he was up at that hour but then again, I was, so really—but anyway, he's very nice!

[ he gets there later, somewhat tired from his hospital escapades ( grab bag weekends are apparently extremely tiring because you never know what to expect ), and wary at ginny's antics, but he arrives!! most important part and all. ]

[And she THROWS OPEN THE DOOR in what could almost literally be a cloud of (edible!) glitter and the sweet smell of baking and the tips of her bright red hair have coloured frosting all over them and on her apron IT'S LIKE SHE MURDERED A RAINBOW.]

he is filled with a sudden sense of foreboding as she drags him inside, and then raises his eyebrows at the sight of those damn cupcakes that looked as though someone spat rainbow glitters on them. he has a feeling it isn't really that far from the truth. ]

I'm a witch. [SUDDENLY A WAND.] Look, just a quick little Gemino! [And the canisters duplicate all over the counter, more glitter for EVERYONE.] There we have it! [God, she's so exhausted but the curse won't let her calm down to pass out.] Blue ones for you, that's what you like, right? So I did them in blue and I hope they're delicious, I'm usually wretched in the kitchen but Mum left some of her recipes when she visited during one of those weekends so I followed as closely as I could and I reckon I didn't do half-bad!
