GOOD MORNING, CITY!
[It is, in fact, the middle of the night but close enough to sunrise that she can say "morning." But that isn't the bizarre thing here. No, the bizarre thing is that Ginny Weasley is beaming so brightly, she might burst, practically vibrating with happiness and excitement.
Also, she's kind of covered in flour and glitter.]
Isn't it just a wonderful day? And it's only barely started! I know things have been so difficult lately, everything's just been so sad, and there's really no reason for it. Everything will sort out like always. Why get bogged down by the City at all? I know I've let it happen for far too long and that's a shame, really, when I've got so many reasons to be happy!
[She sets the camera precariously on something on the kitchen counter, leaning in close.]
I've got wonderful friends, doesn't matter what all those stupid nightmares say, no one's died on me since the war! And if anyone leaves to go home, well, I say good for them!
[This is punctuated by a fist banged on a cluttered kitchen counter and the camera topples and the video feed cuts out.]
Boll—
It's better this way! :)
Now you won't see what surprises I'm working on for you lot!! ♥
YOU'RE ALL SIMPLY THE BEST!!! ♥ ♥ ♥
[ooc; anti-angst at its best... or worst...........]

Oh, yeah. Extremely. Can't you tell? You didn't think I could be this happy, could you? You're mad.

Can't help it. I think if someone came up to me and told me another one of my brothers was killed, I'd laugh so hard I wouldn't be able to breathe. [And then her smile hitches into something broader, more spurred on by the curse.] The City's a great place, isn't it?
[And she's so exhausted by it that she went and let that little detail about her family slip.]

I hope you mean that sarcastically, sweetheart. [ a beat. ] On the upside, m'sure the muffins are gonna taste great.

So sarcastically. [She looks a little more pleased, though, at the mention of the overflowing baked goods everywhere and she'll grab one... as soon as she's done with this hug. Which isn't anytime soon.] You say that now. You've never had my cooking. And one day you'll taste my Mum's and you'll realise I'm actually rubbish in the kitchen!

You always gotta start from somewhere, kiddo. I didn't know how to cook until I got into university and had to start learning how to feed myself. I'm not too sure I'm even good at it, but Jim vouches for me every time.

I'm sure you're brilliant. [Softer, now, still smiling for all that she's cursed.] I miss my Mum's cooking.

[She finally slips away from him to pick up a cupcake, holding it out to him, bright blue and shimmering.]
She cooked for seven kids. She made everything, we ate everything. Could you teach me how to make pie?
action »
[ which she won't because she's a weasley, but he'll still teach her, anyway. he takes a bite of the cupcake, glitter smearing his lips. ]
Mm, not bad, princess.
action »
Thank you. [And she starts putting a box together for him.] And define 'behave.' Does that mean not ending up in hospital for a few months? Because I can't promise that but I can try.
[And the witch thing doesn't put her in hospital, per se, so........]

[ and he's biting that cupcake again, because really, it's good. he thinks there's really not much to reach you about baking a pie when you can already bake to begin with. ]
My blood pressure can only take so much.
[ he is teasing, of course, as much as he is grousing. he's resilient no matter what he says. ]
action »
Alright, then you won't be the first person I call if I end up breaking that promise, how's that?
[Not helping, maybe.]
D'you want help taking these home with you?
action »
[ he takes the box from her hand, and, for the briefest of moments, pecks her temple sweetly. ]
I'm good, princess. Just stay home and rest. You've had enough excitement for the day, I think.

Might be right. [Then she reaches up to pass a fond hand through his hair.] Thanks, Dr McCoy.
