[ Clint appears on the screen looking happy, or as happy as he's capable of outwardly expressing while still feeling comfortable in his surroundings, and he's definitely in his element up on the rooftop of the apartment building, nothing but blue sky and burning sun in the background making him squint against it. ]

Anyone for barbeque? [ It's still early, which gives him time to make more room and tidy the area a bit, but he's not left the apartment much in recent weeks, and while he's got the nagging suspicion the hot weather will probably come at a price, he figures there's no point letting it go to waste while it's there. ] Alcohol included. Might even be a hose around here to fill up the portal pool.

Let me know who's in, I'll make sure there's plenty to go around.

[ She's doing all right with him all things considered, and he doesn't want to tell her what to do, but the lady on a show he's indulged in once or twice might have mentioned distraction by treats in order to get dogs to be more compliant. ]

As long as this isn't a trick I'm going to regret later if he picks me over you.

[ Still, the door to the roof opens with a echoing creak and he peers down, calling out Jasper's name once, twice, and waiting. ]

[Eh... he's on treat restriction. After the Treat Bag Massacre yesterday.]

I don't think that's going to be an issue.

[The Jasper looks up that direction then back to at her and wags his tail before laying down on the stairs.]

Ugh.. Stubborn ass.

You saying I'm not good enough for your boy? [ He raises a brow at the camera, but it's teasing, if not dry.

He calls out for him again, with more enthusiasm this time, and makes loud patting noises with a hand against his thigh. ] Picking him up'll give him bad ideas, get him into habits. Have you tried going ahead of him? See if he follows.

I think that's exactly what he's saying.

[Gives him a little fond smile, and glances from the camera up in his direction.]

His ears moved, but he's like 'nope'.

This is what it looks like when my feelings get hurt, Tash. [ Which is almost the same as every other emotion when he's wiping his face clean. ]

Least I know someone's got my back. Maybe it's time to pick him up and throw him over your shoulder fireman style.

Aw... Clint. Sweetie? This is what it looks like when I'm about to murder my dog. [Which is almost the same expression as she has nearly any other time when dealing with either of them.] Which is what he wants, but I'm tired of standing at the bottom of the stairs.

[ He tilts his head like a puppy at the petname, but doesn't comment, and shrugging half-heartedly. ] You sure? Looks more like the face you make when you're lying 'cause you love that dog. [ Snorting a soft laugh. ] Not ready to play into his paws?

[She just raises a brow, glancing up from the screen to the figure on at the top of the stairs. Clearly, trying to cover her amusement.]

Perfectly sure. And no.. [A hand on her hip she ends the feed and puts her phone away.] I'm not ready to, you however are perfect welcome to be the 'good guy' and cave first.

[ Openly amused, Clint peers down the staircase at where the whining of the over-sized puppy leads to, and he shrugs as he tries to ignore his heart reaching out to the poor thing. ]

Nah, leaving this one to you seems like the best option. Besides, the little guy's got to learn somehow.

[ He tucks his device away and starts to examine the rooftop; for all the time he comes up here, he doesn't always keep it clear, using what's around to hide behind when he's feeling extra paranoid. ]

[It's so difficult to be angry with him when he's being so adorable. And the dog is getting to her too.]

Good plan. I think at this point... I'm just going to walk away. There is no place for him to go, but up.

[ He makes actual faces at people who dare to tell him he's even remotely cute. ]

Tough love. Hear it works wonders. [ Shrugging. ] Never quite did with me.
