[ Clint appears on the screen looking happy, or as happy as he's capable of outwardly expressing while still feeling comfortable in his surroundings, and he's definitely in his element up on the rooftop of the apartment building, nothing but blue sky and burning sun in the background making him squint against it. ]

Anyone for barbeque? [ It's still early, which gives him time to make more room and tidy the area a bit, but he's not left the apartment much in recent weeks, and while he's got the nagging suspicion the hot weather will probably come at a price, he figures there's no point letting it go to waste while it's there. ] Alcohol included. Might even be a hose around here to fill up the portal pool.

Let me know who's in, I'll make sure there's plenty to go around.

[She's in the apartment, having not made it up to the roof yet because she's struggling with and over sized doofus of a husky puppy that doesn't want to cooperate on the stairs.

She blows a fallen lock of hair from her face with a little huff of an exasperate sigh.]

Jasper and I will be there... [She rolls her eyes at the screen, when tugging at the puppy's collar produces no movement.]

I'm always up for a bbq.

What is a barbeque? [Is it food? Is it a feast, she could go for a feast.]

[Because Charlie still doesn't want to face people right now.]

I can make some marinades and spice rubs for whatever you're cooking.

[Rapunzel hasn't exactly been going out a lot lately. Time to fix that, be social, meet new people...summer stuff.]

A barbeque sounds fun, there hasn't been one of those here in ages! I could bring food, if you'd like...

[ She isn't entirely sure what he means to "barbeque," and the lingo of this place is taking a bit of time to properly adapt to. However, he seems friendly enough. ]

...Is it normal for it to be so hot here? Just yesterday, everything seemed moderate, and seeing as how everyone is so casual about the current weather conditions...

[ Unlike Fury who's standing at his side with every move he makes and looking pleased with himself about it. ]

You need me to come down and rescue you? Doesn't look like he's budging on that one.

[ Not in the least bit condescending, but definitely sad at the prospect of a place that doesn't have them. ]

If you don't know, then you've gotta come by and experience it. It involves grilling meant on an open fire outdoors. And usually ends with drunk people.

That'd be great. Give me a list of the stuff you need and I can drop it over?

Best weather there's been for it since I've been here. Wouldn't say no to extra food, but I should be able to cover it.

[ Unless his day job is taken into consideration, Clint's harmless, really, so she's in safe hands. ]

Nah, not really, but then normal in this place seems relevant. [ He shrugs, probably too casually. ] Figured if there's something behind it, we've got today before it hits.

[ She's doing all right with him all things considered, and he doesn't want to tell her what to do, but the lady on a show he's indulged in once or twice might have mentioned distraction by treats in order to get dogs to be more compliant. ]

As long as this isn't a trick I'm going to regret later if he picks me over you.

[ Still, the door to the roof opens with a echoing creak and he peers down, calling out Jasper's name once, twice, and waiting. ]

[Eh... he's on treat restriction. After the Treat Bag Massacre yesterday.]

I don't think that's going to be an issue.

[The Jasper looks up that direction then back to at her and wags his tail before laying down on the stairs.]

Ugh.. Stubborn ass.

[ That does sound grave and ominous. Her expression hardens, fingers moving to her sword. ]

I see. What kind of terror should we be expecting? A mad overlord planning to raze our villages and imprison the many? A violent dragon attack? A volcanic eruption? We must begin to prepare for the worst case scenario. They will have the advantage if we are caught off-guard.

You saying I'm not good enough for your boy? [ He raises a brow at the camera, but it's teasing, if not dry.

He calls out for him again, with more enthusiasm this time, and makes loud patting noises with a hand against his thigh. ] Picking him up'll give him bad ideas, get him into habits. Have you tried going ahead of him? See if he follows.

I just need shallots, dr pepper and Guinness. Everything else I gave either in my kitchen or garden.

We call that a feast. Or dinner while camping.

I think that's exactly what he's saying.

[Gives him a little fond smile, and glances from the camera up in his direction.]

It's okay, you still have me.

His ears moved, but he's like 'nope'.

Perfect. I'll even bring some beer, can't have too much right?

Well, we had dragons a month or two back, so I guess at one of the other options. [ It's sad how he wants to be joking, but even the dry humour loses its edge by the fact it's true. ] Building up strength seems like the best plan of action to me.
