[ 81st consult | video ]
[The video feed cuts on abruptly, and the view is simply a blur of motion. It lands on the floor of the hallway hospital, and when it comes to rest (after hitting the ground and spinning a bit), it's pointed at the office of one Doctor James Wilson.
For his part, Wilson is rapidly retreating from that office. Probably because, within the office, a combination of paperwork and a selection of the small knick-knacks that decorate his office are being tossed about. He slams the door behind him, standing with his back against it for a moment while taking a few rapid breaths. When he seems to have regained composure (and probably calmed his heart rate a bit), he starts glancing around the hallway - and his eyes lock on the device. He walks over and picks it up, giving a weary sigh as he turns it off.]
[ooc: Open to action if your character would be at the hospital. I'm posting from work just before leaving, and going out tonight, so tags will be delayed... and my slowatus is still in effect :( But... I LOVE YOU GUYS?]

action;
The hell is goin' on in there?
action;
National Geographic, apparently.
[Or... is that anywhere near relevant in the 23rd century? He pauses and clarifies.]
A few marsupials decided to pay me a visit.
action;
[ ... Okay, he needs to see this. Excuse him while he inches past you to look through the window, Wilson. ]
action;
[Wilson lets him pass, furrowing his brow as he looks over McCoy's shoulder. Within the office, there is indeed a small array of marsupials. The koala is the most readily identifiable, but the shelves are also being rather frantically scaled by a tree kangaroo. (The ceiling, if you look up, is serving as perch to a flying fox.) They're probably all trying to stay out of reach of the Tasmanian tiger that's pacing the floor eagerly. It certainly didn't make Wilson eager to stick around.]
action;
... Did you piss off Dr. Chase recently?
action;
I don't think I could have done anything to piss him off this badly.
[He sighs, turning away from the office and pressing his fingers to his forehead, muttering.]
This is going to take weeks to clean up.
action;
[ Bones turns to look at him, raising an eyebrow for a moment before patting Wilson's shoulder. ]
It's not that bad.

Doctor Wilson?
action;
Anna - it's good to see you.
[With a glance over at the closed door, he purses his lips slightly. He tilts his head to indicate it more explicitly and offers as means of explanation,]
Curse.
action;
[It is still very strange to her, to accept it as normal, but she really feels she has no choice. Existence is a senseless thing, this City is just more blatant about it than she's used to.]
Nothing... too terrible, I hope?
[She's also not sure what to make of the wildly varying scales of them...]
action;
Well, it could be worse. As long as the office stays shut for the day, I think it'll be alright.
[He lets out a sigh as he pauses, shifting gears.]
So, what brings you by today?
action;
Oh. I... [She lifts the little paper bag.] It's just some lunch, I thought you might like it.
action;
[A small, happily surprised smile accompanies the response. Actually, a day like this is just the sort of day when a gesture like being brought lunch is truly appreciated.]
That's very kind of you - you didn't have to do that.
action;
[Well. She'd been starved for a very long time, and anyone who had facilitated that situation changing deserves eternal gratitude. Anna won't fawn, but she will most certainly appear with food, shared bounty.]
Don't mind it. I found a bakery, that was not too far to walk. I like the bread there, very much.

Alligator?
video;
I hope not. I didn't see one, at least - though I can't say I stayed very long.

video;
And make sure that you do, too?
