I managed to get an ingredients list and they should be safe enough.

Yes, I imagine by then conversation hearts aren't very widely known. What kind of candy would you normally find then? If any?

Chocolate's popular, and so are the hard candies that taste like fruit.

Chocolate's still around? It's popular from the time I'm from as well. It's been popular for a while. Hard candy has been around a long time, too.

I prefer the hard candies myself, just because they can make those from fruits non-humans eat too.

I don't think they have names in human tongue. Basically, some species are made of different amino acids, which are harmful to any species not based on those acids.

The amino acids I understand. Turian is a new one on me. Either that's only in the world you're from, or we have yet to meet your species on Earth in my world.
