[ Just the most withering stare. ]
This isn't funny.
And I don't like cookies that much.
.................Do I?
(♥ Tabloid Trash Article: The Rise & Fall Of a Star ♥)
[ OOC: The link takes you to another journal, as the article is long and full of crack. Lots of crack. None of the fodder is meant to be taken seriously. But if any aspects are offensive, PM me and I'll add a warning or something :| ]

[ The sum of all dokidokis, lemme tell ya. ]
They'd have to get beyond their own self-absorption for that. [ God bless the narcissistic. ] Agreed. Past, present, and often future, in most respects.
Private
No, really. )
Not everyone is absorbed in themselves. ( The City has a knack for isolating people in their own issues. ) I'd like to know my future, but I doubt they'll ever reveal it to me.
Private
[ Just replace Angels and Devils with Contractors and Humans.
Oh, and throw some Pizza Hut ads in there. ]You're never sure if the ones who take an interest aren't looking for leverage. [ He prefers the isolation of his own 'issues.' Telling someone your secrets doesn't make them go away. It gets into the other person you've told them to, warps (or clarifies) their view of the real you, and sends them running for the hills. ]
[ He's learnt that the hard way. ]
There may be a curse that'll do just that. Of course, whether people believe it's their real future or not, depends on if they like what they see.

Sometimes you have to take a chance and hope for the best. ( And ready yourself to slice apart those who betray you. )
I expect it to be better, but - ( She shrugs, trying to look unaffected. ) The City has no reason to please me.
Private
Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst. Except hope gets you in more trouble than it does out of it. [ It's a dangerous abstraction in his profession. (Five years ago, Hei never would have hoped to rely on people. Places, maybe. Things. But never anything so permanent as another person.) ]
Or anyone else. But -- [ His lips twitch. ] At least it's not circulating pictures of you in cosplay.
Private
I hate to say it, but you do have a point. I try to keep my sights set on what I can see. ( Even if her thoughts are always on her hopes. )
I think there would be a few who would take that badly.
Private
Sometimes a form of tunnel vision is necessary. Especially when it's dangerous to get sidetracked. [ And it almost always is. ]
I don't doubt it. Yellow isn't your color, anyway. [ Maybe the cool green of a Gardevoir? The ochre of a Lopunny? ]
[ (~What kind of Pokemon are you? How do you do the things you do?~) ]
Private
Having my full memories restored to me makes that more difficult. ( But she won't succumb to bad habits. )
I didn't think so. ( Or the brown of a ninetales? Or the purple of whatever this is? )
Private
Difficult is relative. [ He's been trained not to measure his life in terms of Ease or Difficulty. ] But at least the City provides certain curses to [ bash skulls in ] let off steam.
[ A ninetales. Definitely a ninetales. ]
