[Ruby really doesn't like opting for text in her posts; she's very much the sort of person who wants to be seen. But with the state she's in now, she'd be mortified if anyone caught so much as a glimpse of her.]

Does anyone know a good cure for a hangover? And don't just say get even more drunk to cancel it out because I tried that yesterday and it felt like it worked last night but now I just feel like I've been run over by a truck.

Three bottles of wine on Saturday. And I can't even remember how much we drank last night. ...Or much of anything at all from last night, really. I didn't do anything terribly embarrassing, did I?

Ah, there was your mistake. I was too busy trying to deal with my crushing headache to properly celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

I guess when all's said and done getting even more drunk so you can't feel your hangover is really bad advice.

It is, however, a time honored tradition. I stuck to ginger ale and coffee, though.

Well, within an hour or two, I went from wanting to die to just wanting to crawl into bed. That was an improvement.

Thanks, but I'd rather not unless I can absolutely help it. If I was sick, that would be one thing, but I brought this on myself, so I have a responsibility to fix it. Obviously if I'm still as bad as I am now, I'm not going to perform and drive business away. But I'd still rather get better and come to work if I can.

I admire your work ethic. I'd get started drinking that coffee now, if I were you.

Thanks, it's something I've always been proud of. I don't understand people who don't have that sort of ethic, if I'm honest. Even if it bites me in the ass when I'm this hungover.
