[Ruby really doesn't like opting for text in her posts; she's very much the sort of person who wants to be seen. But with the state she's in now, she'd be mortified if anyone caught so much as a glimpse of her.]

Does anyone know a good cure for a hangover? And don't just say get even more drunk to cancel it out because I tried that yesterday and it felt like it worked last night but now I just feel like I've been run over by a truck.

Three bottles of wine on Saturday. And I can't even remember how much we drank last night. ...Or much of anything at all from last night, really. I didn't do anything terribly embarrassing, did I?

Brine from pickles or kraut. Drinking kvass. You could also eat some haash.

Orrr you can try this... get a lemon slice, put a teaspoon of coffee and sugar on it, and eat it in one bite.

Pickles is the only one of those things I've even remotely heard of.

That sounds gross, but I'll try anything at this point. Only I'm not sure I have any lemons.

I should have just recovered properly after we went out and not tried to do St Patrick's Day as well.

Well, within an hour or two, I went from wanting to die to just wanting to crawl into bed. That was an improvement.

Thanks, but I'd rather not unless I can absolutely help it. If I was sick, that would be one thing, but I brought this on myself, so I have a responsibility to fix it. Obviously if I'm still as bad as I am now, I'm not going to perform and drive business away. But I'd still rather get better and come to work if I can.

Thanks, it's something I've always been proud of. I don't understand people who don't have that sort of ethic, if I'm honest. Even if it bites me in the ass when I'm this hungover.
