[This weekend, Jinora is an adult. The airbender has the distinctive blue arrow tattoos given to those who master the art and she's at least a decade older than she normally is. Regardless, most who know her would be able to recognize her. It's peculiar; she aged physically and mentally overnight, but her memory hasn't changed at all.

That mystery isn't the one she's concerned with. Sunday afternoon finds her on the beach, contemplating the relationships between the various bending arts. Jinora's brain seems to have aged along with her body. She feels more insightful, more capable of drawing her own conclusions rather than repeating what her father has taught her. She has every intention of using this greater insight to the fullest. As a ten year-old, she had been struggling with what she had been taught about bending, suspecting that she was missing something significant. Now her thoughts seem freer and clearer.

Jinora may also be avoiding a four year-old Korra. Getting her thoughts straight with a little Avatar present was all but impossible. She hasn't wandered far, though.

Occupied as she is, Jinora's paying little attention to her surroundings, eyes focused on the rhythmic movement of the ocean waves.]

Yes. Korra, Lin, Tohru, Miles, and I moved into the beach house.

What brings you here, crowned prince?

[ he takes the change of subject gratefully ]

Training, of course. Perhaps the next time I'm in the area I'll ask Korra if she'd like to join me. [ She was rather enthusiastic after all. I'd be good for her. ]

May I train with you?

[She's serious. It would be good for her to broaden her horizons and explore other fighting forms.]

[pratful]

[ he looks surprised ]

Aren't you a little young for that. Swords aren't exactly for the weak you know.

[ and he's assuming this Jinora won't be around in a day or two. Hardly enough time to learn much of anything. ]

I can practice with my staff. I want to learn the techniques, not how to slice people up.

Do you really think I'm weak?

[pratful]

[ he shook his head ] No.... not at all. I just assumed you wanted the same kind of training Korra did.

[ he looked her over ]

Although you may want to strengthen those arm muscles of yours up a bit. Have you given consideration to chopping up firewood? [ he may be teasing. A little. ]

Korra and I train very differently.

[She does not appreciate Arthur's suggestion.]

My arm muscles are strong enough.

[pratful]

[ he gave her a look of doubt mingling with uncertainty ] Well... Maybe right now you do, but I'm not sure how permanent a change it's going to be. Are you sure you want to take that chance?

[ and as Merlin so eloquently put it last time, it was one of those weekends again. ]

I'll know that when the curse is over. If I'm still interested then, would you be willing to teach me?

[She's still going to want to learn something new come Monday. Jinora never passes up an opportunity to learn.]
