[Sinclair's been in the city a fair few days now, and has managed to settle into a fairly cheap looking apartment with what assets he had on him when he arrived. He seems fairly unfazed about being suddenly brought to a strange city; he's still treating it as rather novel, really. Besides, he's sure there are plenty of opportunities here, and is determined to get as much out of his change of circumstances as he can.
He sits on a chair in his apartment as he looks into the camera, puffing on a pipe and looking very relaxed and in control.]
Well, now. I must say, the sky is a sight for sore eyes. I'm not really one for sentiment, but when you've been fathoms deep for as long as I have? A little thing like the sky comes as a welcome relief. But teleportation, hm? We didn't even have that down in Rapture; I'm sure there'd have been a pretty profit to be made there. Already this town is full of surprises. I admit, I'm curious to find out more about it.
But where are my manners? The name's Augustus Sinclair. Esquire. And from what I've seen, this city's set up pretty nicely. Of course, there's always room for one more enterprising businessman, hm? I'd be interested to know of any gap in the market that hasn't been covered.

I should, perhaps, be perturbed at your arrival, but I can't say I'm surprised. I'd welcome you to the City, but we both know I'd be lying through my teeth.

[Of course he's well aware of the conversation they'd had when Sinclair had visited the City a few weeks before, but he's not sure if Sinclair remembers, and perhaps it's better to play it safe for now.]

Welcome to the City. People open shops all the time if you are interested in that.
If you want, the Welcome Center has some information on the City.

I'll be sure to stop in there, then.

Welcome, Sincla— [He cuts himself, with no real change in expression, aside from one reactionary blink.]
...

[Is that a touch of distress in his voice? He takes formality very seriously!]
I cannot shunt without knowing which order is most suitable for the rolling stock. [Train metaphors. This one is very fond of them, no matter the situation.]
Sinclair's just fine. Or Mr. Sinclair if you prefer to be more formal. Esquire just goes to sounds gentlemanly.

[It is not a form of address Nobori usually uses! But, if he insists on it...] Very well, Mr. Sinclair. [Now, he looks a little flustered and clears his throat.]
I am Nobori and I am in charge of recording new arrivals to the City.
