Video//Action for housemates

[Following on the tracks of this, July has reappeared. In the kitchen of the place where he lives. On the counter he has several bags from the store that he apparently went to. Now he's there making food, cutting up vegetables in a perfect mimic of what he saw his curse father do.

He seems to be just fine, no harm done at all.

He also hasn't noticed that his device is recording.]

[And after much worrying, seeing this appear on the device makes for one still rather frantic devil who appears next to him between breaths. Arms wrap around him immediately.

Nir voice is calm as ne speaks, much calmer than ne feels.]

Where have you been?

[His knife pauses as arms wrap around him. Turning his head, he look at her. Something is different about this contact, he knows that.]

We did not have food to cook.

[Yes there is, even if ne wouldn't admit it nemself. And no ne isn't letting go yet.]

But there is food. Was there something specific you wanted?

[Ne has no idea how to reply to that. Instead, ne sits down on a stool next to him.]

You do not usually go out alone, it was...unexpected. And there are many things, and people, that are dangerous to someone who can not defend against them.

[He nods, understanding right away and goes back to chopping the vegetables, moving the cutting board then moving his stool to the pan before climbing back up so he can put them in and cook them.

Oh. He has a question.]

[Wait. What? Where did that come from?]

This One is not capable of having children.

[Not even thinking about the idea of adoption or anything because really, who'd think it?]

Adoption. Mad Hatter felt fear and takes care of me and gives me things. I want to be with Mad Hatter.

[He looks over at her because the curse had made it seem like Hatter being his mommy was logical.]

Are you my mommy?

[Yeah, ne really can't answer that. Ne has no idea how to even begin.]

[Oh. He was wrong. Alright.

Grabbing a spoon, he drops the subject and stirs the vegetables, keeping an eye on them so they turn the right color.]

[No, ne's just never had this happen before--it's not supposed to. But this is different isn't it than usual. He doesn't want nem so much as he actually needs nem...ne's rather confused, but there is one thing ne does know.]

This One wants you here as well. If that is what it means...[Ne really doesn't know.]

[When they're nicely cooked, he turns the heat off and climbs down to go over to Hatter.]

Then you are my mommy?

[Why is there no one else around either one of them can ask about these things?]

[He has a mommy. Hatter is his mommy. That is good enough. He nods then goes to get chicken out of the bag to cut that up next.]

[As long as he's happy, ne's just so confused.]

May One hold your mirror for a minute or two?

[Not that confused though, he's getting tagged for easier locating.]

[Getting down, he pulls his mirror out with his clean hand to hold it out to Hatter.]

[Smiling ne takes it from him, and since ne sees no reason not to let him know what ne is doing, ne lets out nir wings long enough to retrieve a single black feather. The feather gets dissolved into the compact before ne hands it back to him.]

[He watches the feather go into his mirror but isn't bothered by the fact or even by the wings. All of it is fine. Whatever Hatter wants.

Nodding, he takes his mirror back and puts it in his pocket then goes back to cutting meat.]
