Hello, visitors! I hope you're all having a good time in the City and finding plenty of interesting people to talk to. If this is your first time here, try not to worry too much. You'll get to go back home soon and it'll be like you were never gone.

If you need anything at all, feel free to swing by the Welcome Center. We've got coats and warm clothes if you aren't dressed for the weather or if you ended up in the fountain and food for anyone who's hungry--courtesy of the Blue Light, so make sure you visit there because it's an amazing place. I'm so sorry that we couldn't find beds for everyone who was asking last night; that'll be something to work on for the next time this happens.

But like I said, if you need anything, stop by or give me a shout here. My name's Penny and I'll do what I can to help out and answer your questions.

And if we've met before, I'd really appreciate it if you'd take a moment to say hello.

[The Welcome Center is only a block or so off of the main square, clearly marked by a big blue sign. Penny isn't the only one working, but she'd be more than happy to lend a hand where it's needed.]

Oh, you know... same as ever. Curses, people coming and going. You missed some really interesting zombie action.

Yeah, that's definitely something.

[He furrows his brow, listening. He remembers all too well what the city is like.]

Sounds like I missed a real party. You got any beer around here?

[No need to be all serious. Penny gets up to see if there's still a six-pack under the sink. Not surprisingly, no one else has bothered to take it--or, more likely, no one inclined to drink beer has thought to check under the sink.]

Yep, but only for you.

Aw, Sweetheart, you know how to make a guy feel special. [He takes one of the beers.] You want one?

Nah. I really only drink mimosas. [And then only very rarely.] ...I missed you, y'know.

Mimosas, huh? [That makes him grin because he remembers who introduced her to those. He's quiet because he didn't really remember the City until he'd gotten her, but sometimes in dreams he'd get flashes of it. Penny was in some of those dreams.] I missed you too, Sweetheart.

[He hesitates a moment.] We could go get mimosas. Bet The Blue Light still makes good ones.

[She doesn't know what to say to that. Penny knows that most people forget about the City when they leave; her expectations when it comes to being missed are minimal.

It's nice to hear, though.]

We should do that. Do you have anything going on this evening?

Free as a bird. What about you?

I can take off for a while without the world ending, I think.

Worth the risk anyway. [He winks at her.]

I agree. Does eight or so sound good?

Sounds damn good. I don't have the Impala with me this time 'round so...I'll meet you there?

[In other words, he'd probably get there long before Penny and sit at the bar sipping on a beer until she arrived.]

Yep, eight it is.

[Before going back into the fray--]

Your car's still in the City. I'm sure you could borrow it back for a while.

Yeah? Chekov's still got her? [Big goofy grin] MIght have to stop by and see if he's treating my baby right.

Mm hm. I promise I wouldn't feel slighted or anything if you went to visit her.

Hey, I'm still going to meet you at 8. If I can get a hold of my girl, I'll come pick you up.

Sounds like a plan. I won't be going anywhere between now and then, so I'll be right here.
