[ Her attention snaps to her other clone. It's become a lot weirder, but even if it's the only reasonable explanation, it's unlikely there are two people trying to be her. She doesn't even know what a imposter's motive would be.

Besides, they look remarkably like her. Not a crooked detail in the slightest as far as she can tell.

With that, she's a little less mad at the other Asami, although her discomfort remains. Her voice softens when she addresses Korra. ]

What City curse?

[Not another one! There can't be two imposters, can there? And they wouldn't be so... exact, or know about Mako.]

What City--

[She trails off as the other Asami asks the exact same question. This is spooky.]

You both really are me.

You guys took all the good lines. [Asami's delivery is very dry, but she manages a little smile after. People skills. It's very important to make a good... impression on... yourself. Isn't it?]

I don't know. Some kind of curse that made....three of you?

[She shakes her head and resists an urge to pull out her hair.]

I'm sorry.

[ Damn she's witty. Is it bad that she's slightly amused by her own joke?

Asami sighs and looks at her other two bodies. Inspects them. Becomes a little lost in thought for a short moment: she actually looks skinnier from both of these angles. ]

You have nothing to apologize for. You kind of make it sound like you've been here for a while, though. I don't even completely understand where we are. [ She wrings her hands a little, because that's worrisome, and she hopes that isn't the case. ]

[If you can't make a good impression on yourself, who can you... make a good impression on...

Asami is confused, but at least she's in good company (is it egotistical to consider yourself good company?). Anyway, Korra seems to be taking this harder than the--than she is.]

It's not Republic City, that's for sure. [She offers Korra a smile that she doesn't really feel.] So what's this about curses?

[Hey is she checking herself out. What is that.]

[The other two hers do look good, she admits to herself. She's never had a three dimensional mirror before. It gives her a whole new perspective.]

[After her brief vanity spell, she walks up to Korra, looking to lay a hand on her shoulder or... something. Her friend is in clear need of some comfort.]

[Korra briefly squeezes Asami's hand.]

I've been here for about seven months now. This place is just called the City. Every few days, we get hit with curses. Sometimes they last a few days. [Like the ghouls who looked like her friends. A small part of Korra even now expects the three Asamis to start attacking.]

That's the only explanation I can think of for...this.

Fair enough, I guess. [ For Korra to have been here for seven months seems impossible, but so do her others selves as well as the City. She briefly ponders before addressing the scarf around Korra's neck again. ]

So is Mako here, too? That's his scarf.

[Poor Korra. Seven months in this place? It sounds ridiculous since she just saw Korra at home, but if there can be three of her, then who knows what else is possible. Asami takes Korra's other hand and gives it a reassuring little squeeze. (And now that she's practically nose-to-nose with herself, she can't help but admire herself the smallest bit. That's definitely the right lipstick color; no more second-guessing that.)

Her interest flits to the scarf, but she stays quiet. If Mako and Korra are both here...

Well. She's not sure she'll need to see Mako.]

[Asami's not sure whether or not she still be sticking by Korra with her other self there, but she does. Even if she's the one (or three) trying to be supportive, this is still not at all normal and Korra is comforting.]

[Usually. She sees that look, other self. Mako. And Korra. And.]

[But her clones (and by extension her) really are hot, aren't they? There's that.]

[Korra gulps, and fingers the scarf around her neck. Of course they'd notice.]

No, he's not. He left a few months ago. A little bit before you did. We weren't -- we didn't...

[What does she even say? She and Mako had never...but they had skirted some lines. After she died. When he sacrificed his bending to bring her back to life.

Even before then. She never did tell Asami about kissing Mako. Never apologized for trying to ruin their relationship that one time. A part of her had thought she wouldn't have to, since it never went anywhere. Mako had chosen Asami, and Korra had been too busy dealing with Amon to worry about how to treat this girl who was sort of her friend, sort of not.

But now...]

I'm sorry.

[ Asami frowns at the other two, trying to gauge a sense of what Korra is talking about, but to no avail. Her relationship with Mako is pretty far in the back of her mind in light of the current situation to draw that sort of conclusion. The scarf was only a clue-in that maybe they aren't the only ones they know around here.

Perhaps it's unnecessary at this point, but she lays a comforting hand on Korra's arm as well. She could be just a fragment, a third of her true self for all she knows (even if she feels all in-tact), and in that case she suspects Korra would want reassurance from all sides of her. ]

[They didn't what? She has a few guesses, but Mako isn't that important right now. Curses, clones, a friend who's been stuck here (alone?)...

Asami looks at her doubles. They don't seem any more upset than she is, but she can't really speak for all of them. Then again, they are her, and she knows herself well enough to know that she'll speak up if she disagrees. With herself.

Ugh.]

It's okay, Korra. You don't need to apologize to me.

[Asami's in agreement with herself, so she stays silent. They can talk about that later.]

[While everyone's in close proximity though, she starts wondering if Korra could use some Avatr magic to put her back together. Not that she feels any less than together.]

Yes, I do.

[She takes a deep breath.]

I kissed Mako. [Twice, but that second time was totally a curse.] And I shouldn't have. It was wrong, and I'm really, really sorry.

[ Their kiss isn't old news to her, but it's the first time she's heard Korra speak up about it. It makes her tense up even though this probably isn't the time to be sharing confessions. Her hand remains upon her arm, and she runs through the possible responses until she remembers she has copies of herself standing around.

Soooo yeah. They can take care of this. She'll likely agree with them anyway (#avoidingawkwardsituations). ]

[It's not a headline here, either, but that doesn't make it more pleasant to hear. Asami and Mako already broke it off on good terms (or this Asami did--it occurs to her that she can't be sure that the others have all been through the exact same things).

She looks to the other versions of her, wondering if she should let them deal with this. Then again, since they're her, they might not appreciate the reminder of Mako's indiscretion any more than she does.]

He kissed you back, didn't he? [Asami's speaking hesitantly. She's sure of her own feelings, but it's strange revealing them when she's watching herself (or something like that).] Korra, he was the one dating me, not you. He can apologize for himself.

I -- [she looks to her other selves briefly.] we know, Korra. [She hopes she isn't being presumptuous by talking for them. She also hopes this curse ends before she has to start seriously considering things like that.]

[As for the rest. One of them has already started talking, so she'll let her handle that.]

[She shakes her head.]

I'm not apologizing for him. But I knew you two were dating, and I kissed him anyway. I shouldn't have done that.

[ She deflates a little, features softening. ]

I think it's safe to say your apology is accepted. Let's put it in the past and not worry about that right now, alright? [ She moves her hand to Korra's back and gives her a light, one-armed hug. ] I mean, I'm a little more worried about the fact that I'm standing in front of myself in the flesh and blood twice, and in a completely unfamiliar place at that.

[ And Korra has been here for seven months, either by herself or with friends appearing and disappearing on her. That's a bigger issue to her than what's happened over a boy. ]

[That about covers that, doesn't it? Asami's just glad that all three of her are (is?) in agreement.]

I couldn't have said it any better myself. [Harr. She smiles at the other two Asamis.] No offense to you ladies, but this is a little disorienting.

[Asami smiles back at her. That is a great smile. She hopes hers looks as good.]

[And yeah, there's the weirdness, both and magical. But Korra needs cheering up so she'll hug Korra's other side. It idly occurs to her that this may go from comforting to creepy at some point, but it's the best she's got right now. She's a hard act to follow.]

[Korra's gotten pretty used to weird in her seven months here. And at least being in the middle of an Asami sandwich, being told she's forgiven for being a bad friend, is a nice kind of weird.]

[She had kind of forgotten that this Asami -- these Asamis -- wouldn't be used to the weird like she is. Quick, what do?!]

Uhh, are you guys hungry?

[ Not... really... she isn't nearly relaxed enough to have an appetite. But it'd be rude to speak up for the others, so she remains quiet. After releasing Korra, she gives a nonchalant shrug to show she's flexible. Sitting down to talk about this predicament might not even be a bad idea. ]
