Yes. The cycle: 'tourists' show-up, hang around for the weekend, leave, return at some later date.

Is there any set frequency for that to happen?

About every other month or so.

Sometimes it's nice, sometimes it isn't. Depends on who shows up.

But if they're at least only temporary visitors, it might offer a few chances as well.
