It's not that I would want anyone stuck here, but so many of my friends have left it would be nice to see at least one of them today.

So you have a lot of students? Wait! Are you older than when you left? How much time has passed already?

Three so far, and they're not doing great. But they have potential. It's been a few months for me. Maybe about a year, I guess. Has it been that long here?

I'm sure you can train them well, no matter what.

About the same, but not quite a year. I don't think I've kept track very well. I left the City for a time, and that seems to have messed up my sense of timing, just a little.

Yeah, that happened to me once. I left the City for a year, but I came back and it'd only been a month. I don't know where all the extra time went, but I've given up trying to understand this place.

Yeah. It's weird that way. I don't think I'll ever understand how the time works.

Maybe you trade the time for your memories. Although I don't know what use anyone would have for memories. It's just weird that they disappear too.
