My kingdom for a boat! A gondola. A flying eagle that can carry me over the canal.
A challenge while we search our respective flats for supplies. Come up with two bright sides to this situation.
private to Charles Xavier;
Apology accepted. The cookies were good, I mourn their loss now.
private to Clary & Jace;
Say I've found drinks in the cupboards that I'm fairly sure I can mix into something fancy. If I impart my wisdom with you, I think any price involving Jace and braids and ribbons is a fair one. Clary, your thoughts?

[ Because Clary's still not used to the whole angelic shadowhunter ting, even if Mae's comment has made her smile. ]

It's Valentine's Day? There should be chocolates?

I'm glad you enjoyed them Miss Crawford. I promise if I seem at all distracted it's due to the sudden arrival of my sister, not any insincerity in my apology. I am sorry it took so long for me to manage it.

I take it you were not yourself that day?

I am, or at least I aspired to be back home. Here, the Academy does pay a stipend but I've yet to take any students through it's halls. I'm an academic quite possessed with the idea of sharing information I suppose is one way to look at it. Others who know an older version of me from a different world call me Professor, however.
I was not. There was a machine working for Mrs. McGee that apparently took great pride in poisoning various patrons and causing them to become cruel. My friend had secured me to the chair in order to keep me distracted and to give him time to sort out what had happened.

Your friend - Erik, right? His ways of sorting things out...are creative. For a moment I was worried, I thought you were being- you'll find this silly, I'm sure - bullied. I don't take nicely towards bullies.
But you seem to be yourself again, which is good.

Erik, yes. I don't find it silly at all; in fact I'm honored to have elicited such concern from someone I have yet to actually meet. Erik's methods are very direct, but I don't think that he should be called a bully. He gets no particular satisfaction from unsettling others. [Charles you are a lying liar who LIES, Erik is just very specific about the satisfaction he gets from it.] But it is rather in his nature to be unsettling, so there is that. He is a very dear friend, and I'm quite ashamed to have made anyone question his motives.
I am myself again! I am quite happy to be so, truly, and hope to remain this way indefinitely, which assures me that will not be the case at all.
Since you did not ask for my number directly I will be encouraging and give it to you anyway: [1003] is the mobile's number, but pressing seven will redirect you to Erik's queue.
private; text
I'll keep that in mind. What would you teach if you could, here?
