I would like to join the police force in an official capacity. [ As opposed to being unofficially on duty all the time. ] I believe I spoke to a few members of the force last time I posted here. Could someone inform me of the necessary procedures? I'm afraid I can't provide any references, but somehow I doubt that that is a problem here.

[ But now, here is the other question that she really wanted to ask. ] The prison on the island, the one raised a few weeks ago. Has anyone determined why it has appeared? We don't seem to need it now that the ghouls have gone.

Don't talk with your mouth full. [ It's hardly a scold. It's more automatic than anything. ] Of course I am. I resigned to find my officers, and they're not here. I might as well do as much good here as possible.

[Korra makes a face at the scold. You're not the boss of her! And she still finds it weird that Lin is from so far in the past.

Still, she finishes swallowing before continuing.]

Good. This place could use the help it can get.

I'm sure it would appreciate any help you could provide, as well.

[ She sips her coffee casually. ]

I'm not going to push you like Tarrlok did. But I would encourage you to take an interest in the City. Especially if you can right wrongs without property damage.

I already do what I can. [Joining the police force doesn't hold any interest for her. Tarrlok had pretty much soured her on that.]

[Her mood's taken a dive. Korra shoves an apple in her mouth and heads up to the training room.]
