[David appears on screen holding up a white sheet onto which he’s painted a crown and three lions, all in blue.]

Look, I’ve made the flag for the England cricket team! And on the back, [He turns it around,] I’ve put St. George’s cross!

[He looks down at his handiwork, a grin on his face.] I’m quite proud of it. The lions were especially hard.

[At this point, Luke rushes in to frame.] What's that? Are you making flags?

Yes, do you want to make one?

Don't need to. I've already got one. It's a bit unconventional, but it will definitely do. [He pauses, and then lunges down and hoists David up onto his shoulders.]

Waving you seems a bit tricky so we'll go with this instead.

[And he runs off frame again, carrying David.]

[Charles is trying very hard not to laugh.] Very nice flags, the both of you. Good work.

Thank you, Charles. Luke still won't put me down.

Though I rather think I put more work into mine than he did his.

He seems more than capable of, ah, managing it. Just be careful not to smack your head on anything.

I'm absolutely certain that Luke would argue that point, so I shan't take sides.

Oh, no, I shan't take credit for it in this case. David is himself because of himself. I don't imagine he'd have turned out so well had I more input. And he'd rubbish relations, so it wasn't them either.

Well I stand corrected! David you are wholly responsible for being the marvelous young man you are and Luke, you clearly have good tease.

The best. And I won't put you down, David, I DO need a flag, you know. I'll pass you things up if you need them.

Like food? I anticipate I'll be needing food at some point today.

You do have to maintain the proper care and feeding of your flag.

Yes, it would be disrespectful to my nation otherwise. Of course I'm not going to starve you, David.

[David, of course, thinks she's talking about his flag.]

And why not? I've worked very hard on it.

I'm just the bloke who's most comfortable about you.

Or who I'm most comfortable around. [He hugs Luke's head, as kissing him in this position seems a bit impossible.]

Oh, well, I can be your flag as well, if you feel the need. [He pats at David's hands.]

That would require you to put me down first.

Maybe. But how will anyone know you're my flag, then?
