[Video feed kicks on and it shows Charlie. Upside down since it probably turned on when she set it down and she doesn't quite realize it but that's okay. Hypnos the cat has solved the problem by sniffing the device and knocking it to the floor. Charlie picks it up, notices it's recording and rolls her eyes slightly. She looks a bit anxious today. There's a reason for it and she almost looks like she wants to say something but she switches the device off.

It's back on a while later, pointed at a stack of candy hearts.]


So...these are falling outside. I'm not sure what made me think to eat some since this is the City. Weird shit happens often. Blame parts of breakfast turning into sand. [An annoyed sigh and the camera spins slightly to face Charlie. Her hand is visible for a brief second. They're taped up and there is a brief shot of a punching bag behind her.] Be very careful what you eat today, guys. For many reasons.

[And the feed is off again.]

[There's just no way to win with this next comment.] If I want to. But, it really takes a lot to get me that mad. Most of the time.

I'll...reluctantly admit to times where I was just annoyed and at my wits end with people who were making my life hell.

You're safe and fine, Justin. I promise. Before here? My life was rough and I was fighting to keep people away. I don't have a reason to do that here. I actually like the people I know here.

Why did people get after you?

[charring]

At first? When I was younger, I had people after me because of what I could do and it was enough to convince me for a very long time that everyone was awful and something bad would happen if people found out about me and what I can do. Which makes my reactions to smaller annoyances really stupid, if you think about it.

[othersdie]

Not really. You've been conditioned to distrust people.

[charring]

[She's smiling, it's evident in her voice.] True. I still feel silly, though. Because I think it's unfair to pre-judge someone but most of the time, I just really can't help it. I'm learning not to, though.

I haven't felt judged. You're doing a good job unlearning.
