[sangreine]

[The feed opens to nothing but the winter-clouded sky and a smattering of airy laughter. A second later Saya rolls into view, her dark hair dampened by chunks of the snow she's rolling in. A playful shake of her head -- accompanied by another whimsical giggle -- casts about half of it off.]

It's beautiful. [Saya stretches out on her stomach, chin pillowed by a tuft of snow, and winks at the camera. Her attire is more suited for spring but the only sign of her noticing the cold is a pleasant pink dusting on her cheeks.] Come and play with me! I don't like being alone. [However heavy the sentiment sounds, she says it with mirthful joy.]

[And then she's rolling kittenishly onto her back, arms and legs stretched out and sweeping lazily through the snow. It's a day to make angels.]

And Gwaine misses you, too. Listen. [The dog is barking his head off in the background. Charlie turns the video to the dog who is spinning in circles, tail wagging furiously.]

[Gwaine gets a hearty giggle! Silly puppy.]

Oh, I shouldn't. If I see it, I'll want to stay. [She looks unspeakably thrilled about declining.] I'm not allowed to live anywhere else!

There's nothing wrong with staying. And I'm pretty sure Merlin can set something up to keep unwanteds out.

[Just a thought.] But we're on our way. With hot chocolate.

We can't do that. Karl will hurt him, and then I'd feel terrible! [Like a child with too much energy, she grabs onto the topic change with enthusiasm.] Ooh, I love hot chocolate!

[And to have angels appear.]

[He couldn't respond to her over the network, so Setsuna just took off to fly to her, wings out, smile in place. He won't leave her alone. No.]

[Setsuna lands close to her as he can get, snow crunching under his feet. Then he just grins at her. Here, I came!]

[Too busy rolling to notice the incoming angel, Saya glances over when she hears his muffled footfalls.] Setsuna!

[In a snap she's on her feet and fairly launching herself at him with open arms. No hesitation at all, today.]

[He does know this is different from how she usually is, but at the same time, it reminds him of when he first met her and they were getting to know each other. And he has pretty wild mood swings himself, so he doesn't think too much about it.]

[Setsuna just catches her hug, then twirls them both around, before nuzzling her close to him. His one bright spot in this whole place anymore.]

[Saya does him one better, planting a kiss on his cheek with her snow-cold lips.] You came! I wanted to see you. [She shows not a sign of letting go of him.] Can we go flying?

[He might have thought more of the kiss, but Kira's done the same recently, so it doesn't register to him. He, in fact, kisses her cheek in return.]

[Then he nods, before grabbing onto her tightly, putting her in a better position for it. He can't ask where to, but he's sure when she sees a place she wants to land, she'll let him know!]

[She'd clap if her arms weren't occupied, so instead she makes a delighted noise and wriggles closer.] Take me somewhere wonderful! Whatever your favorite place is in the whole City.

[beyourarmy]

[Favorite place, huh? He has to think of it for a bit, then nods, and takes off.]

[His wings flap strongly in the wind, and he tries to hold her close to keep Saya warm.]

[When they land, it's at the zoo. Xanadu in general is a place Setsuna retreats to when he's hurting. The zoo, specifically, is one of his places of comfort. It's not like a normal zoo full of caged in animals. It's a place where they're safe and free to roam, with vast plains and skies to hunt in, like they would out of captivity. It's a place he's discovered all sorts of things he never imagined even existed. Like a Chiropteran queen.]

[He didn't land in just any place. He specifically chose the place where she first appeared. Where they first met. Yes, Saya; this is his favorite place.]

Nothing. I just feel good. [Another giggle.] I bet not even you could make me feel bad.

Are you going to throw yourself face-first off a cliff later?

I don't think so. But if I did, maybe Setsuna would catch me. [He's the gallant hero of this story, Karl, and you're the villain.]

Wow, you sound jealous! [Which, by the way she's laughing, has to be the funniest thing she's heard all week.]

Hm? Oh, I'm fine. It feels good! [She rolls around again, as if proving her point.]

[She blinks, that hadn't occurred to her.] Do you think so? I'm not sure if I can get that.

Why? [She knows better than to assume everyone who looks human is human, but nothing she's seen about Saya indicates that she has any special immunity.]

I heal really fast. [She reaches out and slams her hand into something sharp that's nearby, then shows Uhura the wound as it knits closed.] See? I'm fine.
