[The camera shakes a bit as it turns on, revealing an extreme close-up of a blonde teenage girl bundled in a blanket. As she pulls back, a room is shown in a general state of disarray with clothes thrown over every surface.]

Just my luck I got stuck here before I grew any. I gotta find me some clothes, 'cause these?

[She holds up a tiny, child-sized pair of jeans with a raised eyebrow.]

Ain't exactly gonna cut it this time.

[A pause.]

Well, that sort of thing is usually pretty obvious.

Christ, I shouldn't've said all that. Younger-me don't like it getting around much. I was scared stiff half the time let me tell you.

[She's just going back to nosing through her clothes again for anything that might fit.]

Don't worry, I won't bring it up with younger you if you don't want me to.

[A frown.]

I'd offer you something to wear, but...

No offense, Meyer, but your stuff might be a little small.

[A long sigh.]

I was trying to avoid saying that.

[She does find one pair of elastic-waist shorts and a loose t-shirt and holds them up inspecting carefully.]

Maybe you can find someone who got turned into a kid for the week and trade clothes with them, since they won't need their adult clothes.

Yeah, ain't no way for that to come across badly.

[She steps out of frame of the camera to slip the t-shirt and shorts on, coming back into frame looking slightly like a 90s back up dancer.]

If I'd had any dresses, they might be a sight better.

[He raises an eyebrow at her outfit.]

Well, it's... functional.

I didn't take you as the type to mince words.

[She's going through all her socks now to find any that might work. Luckily she still has small feet.]

I didn't take you as the type to be a sixteen year old girl.

Yeah I didn't always see it coming, either.

[Eugh, none of this stuff fits. She balls the socks up angrily and throws them against the far wall.]

Hey, c'mon, calm down. Worst comes to worst, you can always go buy some new clothes, right? It's not like this'll last for long.

[Oh, you so did not just 'calm down' to her.]

Yeah an' get frost bite while I'm at it.

[She has money - the younger her is smart enough to save up her under age allowance for rainy days - and heads for her stash in her dresser drawer to count. As she stands up it's clear to see the long, thin scars she's got wrapping around her legs, and more on his back where her shirt doesn't quite meet the waistband of her shorts.]

Wonder if I could call the stores to bring me some. You can do it with groceries.

You want me to bring you some clothes? I'll bring you some clothes.

[Of course he notices the scars -- it would be hard not to -- but he's not going to say anything about them. He feels like he's already pushed his luck with the questions about her childhood.]

[She gives him a long-hard stare. She isn't exactly very practiced at trusting anyone, but she doesn't have much choice.]

I need trousers, and shoes. Probably a coat. I'll pay you for 'em when you get here.

[She can leave off getting underwear on her own time.]

Right. Be there in about twenty minutes.

[About ten minutes later, though, he calls her from the store.]

What size are you?

[She was wondering when that was going to come up.]

40 inch hip, and I have size 8 feet. Are you honestly in a women's store?

Should I not be? I thought you might want to wear something that fits. I'll be right there.

[A little while later, he shows up at her apartment.]

[She's got a loose man's shirt with her shorts by now. Bruce isn't home and his closet is fair pickings.]

Hi. You gonna come in?

Yeah, sure.

[He looks around the apartment curiously, never having been there before, then comes in, smiling at her slightly. He's still confused by all of this.]

[It's ridiculously high-tech in here. Particularly for them early twentieth century folks. But Jarvis has learned to mostly stay quiet around Bobby. There are some things it takes a while to get used to, and disembodied voices are one of them.]

I'd offer you a drink or something but it don't look like there's much in the house. Coffee?

Yeah, coffee would be good.

[He sets down the bag of clothes on the table, already questioning whether what he bought was at all what she'd want.]

Does Bruce know you're... not a little kid anymore?
