I don't know. Everyone on Air Temple Island is almost the same color as me, except for Korra.

And you both are pretty Asian-looking. Or at least what they call Asian where I'm from. I'm guessing you don't have an Asia.

No, I never heard of Asia. I looked at some maps in the library... we don't have the same continents other places have.

Why did you call yourself black? You're brown.

I dunno, that's just what they call people from Africa. People whose families come from Europe are white, and pretty much everyone else is named after where they come from, like Asian, Mexican, Indian. All the people from Spanish speaking countries that aren't Spain are called Latino. I'm half black and half Latino 'cause my mom's family came from Puerto Rico.
