I've decided since there are people here from all over the world who might not know about it, that I'd explain cricket to you all. We can't play in this weather, but perhaps once it's Spring.

You know, I did already work it out, but I've a question, after watching this.

If you're in, while the other side is out and you've not been sent out by those out attempting to get you out, if, at that point, you put your left foot in, and then, shortly after, take it out, and then put it in again, are you required to also shake it all about?

Oh, brilliant. I've never met anyone from New Zealand before. Brian at school went there on holiday once, he brought us pictures.

... clearly, you put a lot of effort into those illustrations and I am grateful, but— forgive me my foolishness, but I do not think I understand. [The poor man sounds terribly confused. He's trying to be polite, like always, but what was that?!]

Rather, I do not think I took anything away from that explanation.

Maybe enough for a pickup game or two, but likely not enough for a league.

Really? I thought it was pretty simple.

There's two teams, one in and one out. One man at a time from the team that's in goes out, and the team that's out tries to get the man who's gone out out. Once all the men on the team that's in have gone out and come back in, they switch.
