21st Spell ~ [Voice]
Good morning, City. Looks like we're a bit snowed in.
[ Merlin's voice starts out completely cheerful and, hey, he's not used to this much snow, might be a part of it. Or just because. But as he continues, after a pause, it goes a little more somber. ]
I feel like this is something that's been asked before, but...
If you got to choose whether to stay in the City or go home, which would you pick?
[ Because he... honestly has no clue. Whatsoever. ]
[ Private to Arthur ]
Are you stuck over there? You didn't come home last night.
[ Now, he sounds incredibly knowing. But that's mostly teasing. ]

why this?
this was not what he wanted to hear first thing in the morning because he was already feeling self conscious enough as it was. But, he could hardly let himself get caught out by his servant of all people. So, he mans up. ]
Unfortunately, yes. The snow drifted right up to the front door.
[ and now he was going to have to crawl out the window to see just how much damage was done. ]

How unfortunate.
But it wasn't too bad, right?

... I suppose it wasn't exactly terrible, but unfortunately I'll be here a little longer. The front door is a little buried.

Mm. Give me a call when you get out, will you?

[ Now he's getting even more suspicious. The only man he's ever had to give an agenda to is (and will remain the sole proprietor of said agenda) his father. Not Merlin. ]

[ if his voice is sharp, that's because it is. Do not make him regret answering this phone call! ]

[ Don't be a grumpy-face. ]

[ he'll grump if he wants to. ]

[ and considering how the dead work around here, it's all the more tempting. ]

[ He's going to get it later, yes, he knows. Worth it. ]

Well if that's how you feel, maybe you should move out.
