The network seems to provide everything the City needs.

[And now she reaches out to pet Mao. Hand laying on his head, softly, barely there. She's still learning this petting thing, but after the scare when she arrived, she's willing to give it some effort.]

[And that's where Mao's concern for Hei's well-being ends. The other man can take care of himself, despite his idiosyncracies. Instead, he nuzzles Yin's hand. She's not very good at petting, but it's more than Hei ever offered (not that Mao really wanted Hei touching him... Shudder).
He curls up a little closer to her and goes back to dozing.]

I'll keep an eye out. [ As long as the filming is limited beyond Hei's sphere, it's low on his category of threats. But it never hurts to be cautious. ] Is Mao with you?

[ He won't explain why he's headed for these hotspots. But a curse like this is too similar to Heaven's War. He can't stay holed up in one place; it gives him too much time to think. ]

[Speaking of, thanks for giving her your location, Hei. She'll spy on you some later. For now, she looks up where the zombies tend to gravitate when not terrorizing people. Then she gives Hei those locations.]

Yes. [There isn't anything to complain about. She has a companion to keep the ticking at bay, moonlight, plenty of water to spy about the City, and is close enough to the fountain to catch people on entry and alert Hei if they seem a threat.]
When this is over, I will resume job searching.

Try for employment near the Welcome Center. It's the best way to keep watch on new arrivals.
