[She smiles fondly at the device, almost as if the previous day was more than enchanting to her. Everyone dressing up so regally, it was like being back at the castle, but still had the freedom she knows now. However, that grand time got her thinking of all the stories she had read, and of course, a one that she’s very fond of comes to mind.]

I wanted to tell everyone a story. It’s about the brightest star in the night sky, Brave Vesperia. I’m sure some of you have heard the name before, however, this is the story behind it:

"In the days of old, a great cataclysm occurred that plunged the world into ruin. Countless lives were lost as the people struggled to stand against the oncoming disaster. Its energies all but spent, humanity's hope seemed lost when a pair of siblings appeared. This brother and sister together fought the calamity, and saved the world from annihilation. The sister they called Child of the Full Moon. After the struggle, she remained with the earth. The brother they called Brave Vesperia, and ascended to the skies to watch over the world."

The end.

[She thinks fondly on the story. Of course, it’s actually a fairytale version of an actual event that occurred in her world, but no one really needs to know that. She likes this version. It’s happier. A lot happier.]

The Child of the Full Moon? Rumor has it that she went on to create the Empire!

[It's not rumor, it's true. She's just conveniently leaving out some more sad details of those Children that did not go on to create the Empire. It's only to keep herself distanced from that true story.]

No, because he's in the night sky now, watching over us all! I'm sure she misses her brother, but she's also proud of him and their accomplishments.

That story ended being pretty sugar-coated compared to the real thing.

Well, yes it is. But it's still a nice story.

[She is such a little ray of sunshine!]

Is it? I thought it was depressing.

[Totally bright...And she can't not think of what the reality was when she hears this story now.]

What kind of cataclysm? We talking a flood, a fire, an earthquake, giant volcanoes...what?

It was known as the Adephagos. It's presence was to distort the Aer flow in our world, ultimately killing it off. Aer is a necessary element in our world, for without it or with too much of it, it would die.

Hearing it a second time, it sounds...more depressing than the first.

[Or maybe this second telling is tainted by his knowledge of the true story. Either way, he thought it sad from the get-go.]

Well, since you know the true story for what inspired this one, I'm sure it does. But, I still rather like it...

[Maybe it's because she's always admired that star, Brave Vesperia. Maybe it's because Brave Vesperia has a new meaning to her now, as well as the Child of the Full Moon.]

It is still a tale about noble heroics. I can't blame anyone for liking it, if they enjoy that sort of sad thing.

[Child of the Full Moon... Klarth listened quietly as a hint of sadness came to his eyes. He had heard of the story in a different manner from Rita and the true identity of the Child of the Full Moon...]

Hence, Brave Vesperia, huh? Yuri's guild.

[She knows the true story, but she still grasps on to this fairytale. Perhaps it's because she's a Child of the Full Moon and what actually occurred to them, well, it's not a pretty story.]

Yes. I told Yuri this story in hopes he would understand just how bright his guild should shine one day.

It's a good name. [He gave a pause.]

And.. what of the Child of the Full Moon? Is she happy?

[Somehow] That is... a really sad story.

I suppose it can be seen as that way, but it's also a story of hope and bravery.

[No matter how many people tell her it's sad, she will always cling on to it as a happy story.]

You mean the part with them parting?

Feeling nostalgic?

Yes I was. I had already told this story to someone else and thought more people should hear it.

It's a good one, I guess. Write up any good ones of your own? Slightly less depressing ones.

Is that why the guild is called "Brave Vesperia"? To watch over people?

[ He didn't know Yuri was such a cute sap. ]

To watch over everyone and shine just as bright as that star.

[Yuri didn't know Estelle named their guild after such a story until after the fact.]

[ But no, Tyr thinks either Yuri or Karol are the biggest saps. All these misconceptions about the Vesperia group. All of them.

But that's okay because he thinks it's cute. ] That's a pretty nice name to live up to.
