[Some people actually enjoy such innocent curses such as these. Then again, some just enjoy kisses, cursed or not, which explains why Hatter can be found around town looking relatively normal and enjoying nemself. And everyone else.]

There have been worse days but very few better. These could be more frequent if someone were keeping track.

One would think someone comes up with these curses. Unless they just happen randomly--which would be worse.

Well, just because someone comes up with them doesn't mean they necessarily keep a record.

Then again, one of those deities really likes records, don't they? So maybe they do....

There are always those who tend to bureaucracy. And it would seem these things do not tend for repetition, except for those odd weekends, which would suggest something or one controls such things.

[The angel would much rather be dancing again, but really a curse isn't the end of the world, and doesn't warrant disruption of his day. Some of it makes him a bit uncomfortable to watch-- the, er, enthusiasm of some victims is unsettling-- but he's willing to call it one of the less harmful possibilities the City has to offer.

He doesn't particularly want to participate, but he's out and about anyway.]

[When one is so enthusiastic about a curse they are no longer a victim, it's their unwilling and less than enthused partners who are. Not that that matters, it usually makes things more enjoyable.

Not that any of this was in mind as ne walked over to the angel--only for a polite greeting, entirely missing the nearby sprig of greenery.]

[Under normal circumstances, ne has a very particular attachment to kisses--how better to possess someone with a curse? Although kisses in general are quite fun all on their own.]

[Berthier has been confused all month. Christmas makes no sense to her. What is all the kindness and love and it's just nauseating! She could almost feel faint for the lack of Dark Energy, she almost could! She's not paying enough attention to avoid you, Hatter-dear.]

[Aww poor dear, Hatter would feel bad about everything but...well Berthier is kind of a bitch so ne doesn't. Doesn't feel bad about the sad, or the lack of energy, or even the fact that Berthier walks too close to nem as they both come within the space of a bough of mistletoe.

Which certainly means ne doesn't feel bad about the way ne ends up pulling her close for a kiss. Not that ne ever would anyway.]

[Kissing isn't much of a tradition on Nemesis. The only displays of affection familiar to Berthier were private little things, alone with her sisters. She is suitably pliant at first, drawn in by the mistletoe, but when it looses her again, her hands are icy cold gripped around the Hatter's arms, growing only colder, little crystals gathering.]

[How interesting a thing you are Bertie...but never mind, the cold doesn't bother nem for long since ne's not there. With a bit of smoke and sulfur, Hatter slips from Berthier's hands to stand behind her instead.]

Such a frosty reception for a sign of life and warmth.

[Her back straightens, turning to glance over her shoulder. The air only grows colder around them, fresh ice crackling down windowfronts.]
