[The strangeness of the day is far from lost on Saya, though fading nicely into the background. She has other matters to think on: bonds and blood, choice and fate. Sacrifice.]
[But it's a day she intends to enjoy nevertheless, ideally with those she has come to care for. She may not have many more like it.]
[Oddly pensive for a day of kissing, she can be found roaming aimlessly, lingering at the fountain or in front of store windows with fingertips brushing the cool glass, thoughts drifting.]
((OOC: Mistletoe abound, but if you'd rather just thread sans kissing that's fine too. o/ ))

[This time, when the curse pulls him in, he just smiles a little. Leans in, and puts his lips against Saya's cheek.]
You look lost in thought.
no subject
[She'll miss it.]
Maybe a little lost. [Where her hands might normally reach for him, they clasp behind her back, winsome.] How are you?
no subject
What? No hug?
I'm alright. Not happy about sleeping alone in a cold bed. But I'll live. But what about you? What are you lost about?
no subject
I miss you. But I'm fine. [She smiles, softer than before but genuine. She might not be fine for long, but this is a choice she has to make.]

[ Finally allowing himself to be seen, he slips up behind her. His reflection is all bright eyes and smiles in the glass before her. ]
Not enjoying the curse?
action;
I don't mind it. [Her reflection has a shadow of a grin, playful perhaps, gone when she turns to him.] Are you here to fend off anyone who gets too close?
action;
You are a Queen. I wouldn't be much of a Chevalier if I weren't here to guard you.
[ Never mind that overwhelming possessive streak in his nature. One that curdles his blood, at the thought of her being touched by someone else. ]
action;
Just guard me? [She nods to the hanging sprig of plant just to the side of them, and with a mental shrug decides that some pettiness is permissible.]

[ His gaze follows her to the mistletoe. He opens his mouth, as if to speak. But before he knows what he's doing -- before she can move out of the way, he's backed her against the wall, arms up on either side of her shoulders, and lips close to hers. ]
[ This wasn't in today's agenda-- is all he manages to think, before he frames her face in cool hands, tipping her head up to take his kiss. ]

It suits you.
[ pure white, fluffy. A perfect foil to Saya's dark framed face. It's a scarf, made of the finest white fur Diva can steal. perfect ]

Hmm... but I have one already. [ just the same, they're a matching pair after all. ]

[The curse helps her find her thanks, stretching over to deliver a soft kiss. It doesn't feel as odd as it should.] Thank you.
no subject
Don't thank me. Just wear it.
[ and then Diva will know Saya still cared, in some fashion. Cared enough to not kill her just yet, that is. ]

[She has a gift for Saya in her bag, actually, and debates handing it to her now. But she hasn't wrapped it or written any kind of card, so she holds back.]
How are you doing?
action;
I'm fine. I think my words are getting much better! [Still the simpler vocabulary of a pre-teen most times... except when she's upset or angry.]

There isn't a need, but Carla is curious and a harmless greeting isn't a problem. She has a large tray of cookies. She'll likely eat most of them, but she can spare one for this.]
Merry Christmas.
[Although her voice is a little wry, smile a little dark.]
no subject
[But her manners aren't entirely vanquished by hunger, so she tears her eyes from the tray to reply in kind.] Oh... Merry Christmas to you, too.
no subject
[ Carla has a voracious appetite, she could probably eat the whole tray herself. She leans in slightly, not quite overtly mocking but she can't help herself whenever she engages in silly little platitudes like this. ]
