147 Howls: Christmas is coming
Snow always makes me feel more Christmas-y. Hard to believe that this is my, wow... my fourth Christmas in this place.
I see the mistletoe is out in full force today, so be careful around it if you don't want to be kissed by random people. Or, you know, arrange to be under it if you want to be kissed by someone in particular.
[Mercy's out and about today, dropping off baked goods at the Welcome Center, working at the magic store, doing some last minute Christmas shopping, and, of course can always be found at some point at her house or working on the project car in her garage. Somehow she always gets distracted enough to forget about the mistletoe, so please come kiss her!]

He looks amused. "Seem pretty proud of that."

And raised an eyebrow. "Well, his wife didn't set me on fire for it." Yet. "So sure what's not to be proud? How many people get to say they kissed the Merlin?"

He probably did. He was a guy after all.
"There was this one year... a friend of mine came by to drop off some spaghetti and meatballs he'd made for me. It was the first time either of us had run into the mistletoe and it was all over my garage and... Let's just say that despite our best efforts we kept getting caught under the stupid plants."
She shook her head, smiling as she remembered. "Luckily, we were good enough friends that we got past the embarrassment. It was a bit of a learning experience. Never kissed anyone with piercings before."

Mercy made a face. "The guy I was seeing told me he didn't care who I kissed. That sort of turned out to be the beginning of the end."
no subject
"Also uh, that guy kind of sounds like an ass. Or like he was trying to pretend he didn't care."
no subject
"Anyway, I was thinking more about Priestly when I started the story and not Thomas or I'd have picked another story, sorry. And piercings, well, they were more... interesting than I'd imagined they'd be."
no subject
"Thomas does a very good impression of an ass."
"Priestly?" Wasn't that a guy from TV drama? "I suppose at least you had fun?"
no subject
Mercy smiled. You kind of had to when you were thinking about Priestly. "We laughed a lot about it afterwards. And yeah, I think if we'd both been single, we might have tried to see where things could go. It's all in the timing and mine's never been known for being that great."
no subject
"I could tell you stories about timing. ER.. well, I'd rather not but suffice to know that I get it. Intimately." Have a wry smile.

She grinned at him. "I think we can just agree that we'll try and avoid too much TMI, yes?"
no subject
"Yeah," He grins at the change of topic, "Sounds like a solid plan."
