[Hello, City. You have acquired +1 hopeless human being, complete with a very English accent and no sense of direction. His voice sounds pleasant enough, at least.]

He - [wait is this thing working

okay, we'll just assume it is] Hello? I'm sorry, I have no idea who I'm talking to, but nothing else will work, and - I need help.

[yes, this pause is meant to be a silent expression of how awkward he feels, and this is why:]

I think - I hit my head. [he's actually pretty sure he did that, if waking up with his cheek pressed against concrete and a nasty headache followed by what he assumes is amnesia are anything to go by.] I don't know where I am or how I got here, and... I seem to be hearing things? [voices coming from a random assortment of birds and a clock ticking, to be exact. With a very pointed exhale (he may be feeling sick in addition to everything else):]

Could someone take me to hospital?

[the not thinking is mutual! In Peter's case, he hasn't thought about whether this good samaritan is really taking him to a hospital or just his creepy abandoned warehouse. Yeah!]

[Lucky him, then, that Jack isn't a worse person than he could be.]

[And with that, Peter is going to find a place to sit, still within the view of the church. He looks around frequently and glances at his device - a weirdly advanced mobile phone that refuses to let him dial any of the numbers he remembers - for new messages, until his headache and slight dizziness invite him to rest his head in his palms, elbows on his legs.]

[Fortunately Jack has been back in the City long enough that he remembers fairly well how to get around. Also fortunately, perhaps moreso, he's managed to rid himself fairly well of the Big Daddy musk he'd still been plagued with when he first showed up.

It doesn't take him long to spot the guy, and he's fairly sure he recognizes him from the description. But he's still wary of vocalizing, or even making any attempt at noise whatsoever, so he waves as he approaches and hopes that will be enough to get his attention.]

[onset]

[It takes him a while to realize there's someone approaching, attention slowly shifting and focusing on the unfamiliar figure with a slight frown. There's that awkward moment where Peter isn't sure whether he should go ahead and talk or keep waiting for a sign that this man is looking for him - then Jack waves and he decides that yes, he can stand up and address him without looking like a total weirdo.]

Hi, [It becomes obvious that suddenly being on his feet wasn't the best idea, but it's something he can manage a little better than he can hide it. A little sheepishly:] I imagine this isn't exactly what you were planning to do with your afternoon, but none of the numbers I tried were working, and I didn't really know what else I could do, so - [so shut up, Peter.] Thank you for coming. I'm Peter.

[If only he'd thought to bring a pen and pad with him, then he'd be able to introduce himself as well. Then again, even if he had, taking the time to write that out might just be a waste of time, so maybe it's just as well that he didn't. Either way...

Jack shakes his head, his way of trying to say it's really no trouble, and offers an arm for him. He could probably carry him if need be, but he thinks it might be a little soon to go that far.]

[It's his turn to shake his head, waving a hand with the beginning of a smile. (It's not like he forgot, exactly, but it takes him a moment to remember what Jack said about talking, which explains the silence.)]

Oh, no - that's all right, I think I can manage. But thank you.

[Well, that's a good sign. Jack smiles in return and gives him a nod, then turns to head in the direction of the hospital. Hopefully he's well enough to follow without further incident.]

[Peter crosses his arms, somewhat uncomfortable, trying to keep his thoughts and expressions as neutral as possible while he follows Jack obediently. He can ask questions when he gets some treatment - assuming he actually needs some - and hopefully the answers will help him get back home, or so he tells himself. His mind decides to be more impatient than that, so eventually Peter speaks up again:]

Is it all right if I ask you some questions? Yes or no answers.

[That wasn't entirely expected. But there's no reason to refuse, is there, if they're only yes or no questions? So he glances back to him and nods.]

[Nodding back, Peter waits a beat to continue.]

Uhm - are we still in London?
