Well, look at that—four years to the day, City. And really, it's been such a pleasure. Do I get a prize? I reckon it's deserved.

On another note, Christmas shopping for you lot is bloody difficult. You'd think a girl would learn by now.

It's things like that people overlook about being stuck here. It's not all bad, it can't be, or we'd all give up.

I don't even think it's mostly bad. But I know I'm a rare case.

I don't think so. I feel—I don't know, more settled, I suppose, since I last went home. Maybe because all the stuff I'd been anxious to do is over, so I don't feel... guilty, maybe, for being here.

I do think that makes a difference-- what you have to go back to. [Especially if that's nothing at all.]. But I do like to think its more than that. The people I've met here would make it worth it, no matter what was waiting for me, I think.

Of course, that too. Every time someone new arrives and they ask how I've not gone mad, that's the answer, really. It's true, isn't it? You'd hate it so much more here if you tried to keep away from everyone because you're afraid they'll leave. You can't do that to yourself, though.
