Well, look at that—four years to the day, City. And really, it's been such a pleasure. Do I get a prize? I reckon it's deserved.

On another note, Christmas shopping for you lot is bloody difficult. You'd think a girl would learn by now.

The City does love taking us when our worlds need us most.

I was from earlier when it came to people from my world. It was like that for years but I wanted to hear about it.

I... Yeah, I probably would too, but I just... How do you even say something like that? Arthur loves Camelot, more than almost anything.

But Camelot's his home as much as yours and wouldn't you want to know? Even if it's awful, even if you can't do anything about it from the City—wouldn't you want to know, if it was the other way around?

And look, if he's angry about that, tell him it was my idea to tell him. He can take it out on me in practice if he wants.

[ He shakes his head. ]

I'm going to have to tell him who did it, who took Camelot, and I can't... do that. Because it's going to break his heart. How can I break his heart? He's happier this way. It's better for him.

[Quietly, thoughtfully,]

Is that your choice to make, though? [She carries on,] I know it's not mine either. But Harry hated when people tried to protect him like that and I was never one to do it to him because of that. I'm just wondering.

[ For a while, he silences. Honestly? It's probably not his choice at all. And if he asked Arthur if he wanted to know, Arthur would say he did and... No. Arthur doesn't know and Merlin just... can't.

He gives a soft sigh. Time to play it off. ]

Yeah. Arthur probably wouldn't like it if I did that either.

[Ginny smiles at him, warm and reassuring.]

Arthur's a lot like any other Gryffindor I know. Like recognises like, I suppose, so that's where I'm coming from. But you know him better than anyone, don't you? So you do what you think is right.

For what it's worth, I'm sorry. About Camelot, I mean. But you'll get it back.

[ It's still strange how much the people here seem to believe in his capabilities. Even more so now, with everything refreshed. ]
