19th Spell ~ [Video]

[ Finally, Merlin addresses the network after coming back to the City. Those who knew him before might notice that he's gotten a bit older and, if you're perceptive, that there's definitely some added weariness to his eyes. But it's not quite that noticeable, either. ]

The City's the same as always, I see. But I guess a week doesn't really change that much.

Dancing's at least a pretty nice curse.

I don't know how many of you knew I was gone, but I'm back now. Have been for a while, actually. Who's still here and how are you doing?

Oh, and apparently Christmas coming up soon? We don't celebrate that back home so... I'm a bit curious what it's like. But I'll find out, won't I?

[ A pause, followed by a cheeky grin. ]

Maybe I should be worried about it? This is the City.

Well when the doors locked there aren't many options that don't involve property damage. Although it is actually kind of impressive that he would have magic left after crossing a threshold uninvited. I wonder if children's expectations count as invites.

Well, if you cross a well established threshold without one you leave most of your magic at the door. Which is usually good for the people inside. Harder to get dead fast, and keeps spirits and vampires and stuff out.

Uh... so can vampires and ghosts just mosey in then?

That's... a little terrifying. I base most of my wards on my threshold and it's saved my life a couple times. I swear I felt one here. This whole new world thing is screwing with my brain.

That... is not a problem. It also explains why the curses can make it past the threshold even warded to the gills.

Which is disturbing on a lot of levels.
