[The device gives a horrible feedback squeal then crackles loudly all of a sudden, cuts out a bit before you finally hear Harry swearing to himself apparently close to the phone because it's really loud. And then a pause with some rustling noises like leaves or curtains.]

Seriously? Months of that and now we're back here? I need a freaking beer.

Or the end of something important. Guess I could use the time off. Little vacation to regroup without worrying about someone trying to ax murder me before breakfast.

Well it's not for lack of trying to be honest. But yeah, I'm up and kicking.

Lack of trying not to come back or lack of trying not to die? Similarly unpleasant things, but one so much more permanent than the other.

What sort of regimen? I read of one where you eat only raw meat and run all the time. I forget what it is called, but you are looking a bit feral so I'd not put that one past you.

Lack of someone else managing to finish the job of killing me despite repeated and exponentially creative efforts.

Well there's the surviving part. Some weight lifting and general physical therapy, did I tell you I was in a coma for a while? Apparently when we go back our body was like it was when we left home to start with.

Oh, well I'm surprised it's even working to be honest. I'm pretty much OK. Not any worse than last time I showed up. Probably better in fact but it's pretty easy to be better than just out of a coma.
