[ The first thing Miles does upon arrival is sigh in relief that the shooting stopped. The second thing he does is realize that he's not in the middle of a fight anymore, and wherever he is, he's in his suit without his change of clothes. The third thing he does is notice the device on the ground next to him. ]

I found this phone. Dont no whos it is, but if whoever you are sees this and wants it back Im chillin by the fountain. Just look for your friendly neighborhood Spiderman!

[ There are probably better, smarter ways to get answers, but this'll do, Miles figures. ]

I've heard of Loki... Thor's crazy evil brother, right? In my universe, at least.

Works for me. [Considers.] This place might be able to use a Spider like you. Lot of people needing rescuing. Namely all of us.

Rescuing from what?

Uh, I don't think I'll be much help there. That sounds more like Tony Stark's department.

Tsk! The youth of today is tomorrow's future, or something like that. It is up to us rather than the aging generation of heroes.

Yeah, but the "aging generation of heroes" are the guys who know about parallel universes and stuff. Dude, I'm Spider-Man and I don't even know much about spiders.

[He's just... going to arch an eyebrow. Then shrugs.] I do not know much about heroing in general, but that does not stop me from trying.

Why bother learning to crawl, when one can stand up and run. Ah. Metaphorically speaking.

Standing up and running is easier when there are people there to help you. Like the Ultimates. On my own, I can maybe stop some crimes or something but big-scale rescuing? Maybe not.

I've no help at home save Leah and occasionally the terminally allergic to shirts Daimon and I do very well. [Mostly.] So with the addition of you, we are practically already saved.

He never wears them. It's a thing. An annoying thing.

He one of those super macho guys?

Surprisingly, no. Just. With the no shirt. Could be the burning pentagram on his chest, but I am not entirely sure.

First time I went out, though, I did wear a Halloween costume. That was embarrassing.

Ouch. I should think so. Did the bad guys laugh when you faced them down in a costume?

No, most people who saw it just thought it was in bad taste.

Spider-Man 1.0 had just died, see.

Yeah. I felt really bad about it after. But then I got this suit.
