[He sounds tired and worried.]

I've checked the Hall of Missing, and she ain't there. Has anyone seen Charlie? She was supposed to come back on Wednesday, and I haven't heard from her, or Merlin.

[Happy with this, Setsuna stops after just a bit.]

Alright. Let's get started. Lead me to where they were staying? Because I really can't remember just where she said anymore.

[ooc: Not sure. I don't know where Charlie was injured AT. And I'm not sure what Karl's kind smells like, either. We can always handwave that, though.]

[Coyote!Mercy nodded and set to work, quickly heading off in the direction of the honeymoon beach house and then ranging around until she picked up Charlie's scent. She yipped once and waited for Setsuna to catch up, tail wagging furiously.]

[ooc: Maybe we can trail them to where the confrontation took place, find traces of blood and about then is when Setsuna finally gets the info on Charlie being in the hospital?]

[Setsuna follows to the, now, empty beach house. Dark and still, Setsuna can tell pretty quickly no one's there.]

Doesn't look like she's here now, huh? Can you get a trail of her from here?

[ooc: Sounds good.]

[It's amazing that Mercy can manage to do an 'oh please look even as a coyote. And then she's up sniffing in a sweeping circle till she comes on Charlie's scent leaving the house. She yips again, looking back at Setsuna, and starts off on the trail.]

[At least he looks a little sheepish about it.]

Just making sure. [When she starts off again, he follows after, picking up speed.]

[Charlie hadn't seemed to be heading anywhere in particular, mostly wandering randomly. Which Mercy didn't think was that much of a surprise given that she'd probably woken up to discover her new husband gone.

There were a few places where it was hard to follow her, but a little ranging around soon brought Mercy back on track. Until she found a place where another scent crossed the path and then followed it. And where there was blood on the ground - old, but still apparent to her nose.

She yipped and whimpered, pointing with her nose to what she'd found.]

[Setsuna's eyes went wide. After Karl's taunting he had suspected, but he didn't want his fears to be true. It was when they approached his device went off.]

Give me a second. [He checked it, a brief message, then he impulsively started to run off.]

She's at the hospital!

[Mercy yipped again, running towards him to get her small pack that he (hopefully) was carrying with her clothes in it.

If ever a coyote was yelling 'wait'...]

[He had, fortunately, kept it with him. And it's only the yipping that stops him his tracks and makes him think for more than five seconds.]

Oh! Hey, you need this thing? [He holds it out.]

[Mercy took it delicately on her mouth and looked around for at least a little bit of coverage in which to get dressed. She settled for some shrubs near where they were and made the shift and redressing as quickly as she could. She wasn't sure if Setsuna would still be there when she was done, but she came around to see, tugging the last bits of her clothing into place.]

[He's fidgeting, slightly impatient. But he did wait, amazingly enough.]

Um, thanks. You can go on ahead, I'm gonna meet up with a friend of mine before I go see her.

[Mercy nodded.]

Okay. Did they say how she was?

[He shakes his head.] Just location. But since she hasn't contacted anyone....

I'll be there shortly.

Okay.

I'm... going to head home. Let me know if she needs anything.

[Hospitals aren't Mercy's favorite places and she figures there will be a lot of people there to check on Charlie.]

I'll check in with her later.

Alright, I will.

I'm sure she'll check in with people when she can. Especially with people going to her. [She's the type.]

It was cool meeting you, even though the circumstances are bad.

I look forward to meeting you again under better circumstances, Setsuna.
