[Even if she hadn't seen the post, it'd be hard not to notice that Tyr isn't exactly thrilled about today's curse.

And she has to admit--to herself, anyway--they're kind of creepy.]

Are these things from your world?

No, they're from this place--or from its underworld...

[ As angry and bitter as he sounds, there's still a note of fear in his voice. ]

You mean you remember seeing them down there?

Not exactly... It takes people there... [ And for him, that makes it worse. ]

[Her eyes widen. Of course he's going to be even more worried if that's the thing that dragged him down there.]

That's what took you? It's really that strong?

People should be avoiding the woods all the time.

I wouldn't go that far when the creatures there aren't usually hard to deal with.

I saw a few giant shadows yesterday.

[ Arthur's feeling extra paranoid after Charlie's little mishap and he immediately checks in ]

Have you seen it? [ he can't make a plan to protect anyone if he doesn't have a clue what it is. ]

A few times. It's persistent. [ It stalks and then attacks, but unlike an animal, it isn't deterred.

And that's why Tyr is hiding away. ]

Then tell me what you can of it. It must have some kind of weakness. [ almost everything does, sooner or later ]

Don't try to fight it. [ This is Tyr's text version of using his commander voice. ]

It can bend and extend its arms to unnatural extents, and it isn't stopped by magical or physical attacks.

If it takes hold of you, it won't let go. It will drag you to Hell.

[ Speaking only from one experience here, but in this case, if fire burns you once, it's safer to assume it'll burn you the next time. ]

Well there has to be something I can do. You can't just hope I'll just avoid whatever this thing is.

What do they do?

[ Tyr trusts Li not to purposely get himself into danger; Li isn't one of his stupidly reckless friends. And for that, Tyr won't drill it into his head, No, don't go after it. ]

They stalk and capture people to take them to the underworld.

[ Why go after it? There'd be nothing gained in Hei's favor by shadowing those creatures. ]

[ Oh Tyr. How touching. If Hei knew, he'd deem it unwise -- and logically be driven to take advantage of it. ]

One of those traumatic stories you can't share?

[Because Zeb and his flatmates may have been aggravating theirs quite a bit. And now he's worried.]

It didn't hurt me itself. It kidnapped me and dragged me to the Underworld.

[He feels like he sounds crazy writing this, but he doesn't really care right now.]

[Zeb doesn't think he is. This is all actually very concerning.]

And this is definitely him?

I haven't seen anything else that looks like him. I doubt that it's something new that just looks the same.

Right. So, hypothetically let's say someone may have been throwing paper at him. Maybe two someone's. And there may have been a sword, but that kept missing.

How much trouble do you think those people would be in?
