I have been told that it is tradition this time of year to express one's gratitude for the deeds of others. As such I would like to thank those calling themselves deities for bringing me here and, effectively, giving me another chance at life. I would also like to thank my ...friends for showing me what worth that life can have.

It's an interesting holiday, one based around gratitude. I've never heard of it before just now.

I do not know if it is celebrated in this City, it seems to be primarily American in origin. I believe part of the rituals involve sacrificing fowl.

I did not think their Christian god accepted sacrifices, so... yes, it must be. For I hear there is also much feasting involved.

Really? I thought that God accepted all sorts of sacrifices. But I'm definitely entirely on board for the feasting. We will have to find some, and invite ourselves.

I believe my roommate Rapunzel is planning an affair.

It's not a terribly common point of view - at least not admitted out loud. Most people hate it here.

I assume most people have lives they were stolen from, whereas I was taken from the point of death. The City has granted me a second chance, and I am grateful.

Anything is better than death, even a place like this?

Such is what I have come to learn. I once thought it my duty to die. Now I know there is life outside of duty.
