What's to figure? He's my chevalier. He'll do anything I want. [ at least, Karl would. James too. The others... well, that's what made things interesting. ]

So that's how they work.... I wasn't really sure what your chevaliers DO. I mean, you obviously have a connection. But do they guard you? Or just follow your orders?

[ her smile turns secretive ] They do whatever they desire.

Well, I wasn't doubting they do a lot of what they want. Not after dealing with Karl.

But I mean, what makes them special? What makes them chevaliers?

They're mine. [ her voice is sharp but then she relents, her smile turning sweet as she rolled back, cheek pressing into her knees ] And they live forever. And of course, they watch out for me when I sleep.

[ but the most unique thing of all is simply, purely, that they're Saya's grooms. If only she would take them. ]

I see. Something that's yours. I think I almost had something like that. Or my past life has something like that. Someone that's hers, and watches over her. Follows her.

[ she mused ] A past life? And just who was it that followed who? Was that you? Were you her or someone else? [ reincarnation was unfathomable to her, but then again, Setsuna was a pretty little thing. Who knew. ]

More like she became me, eventually. And the one that followed her became my best friend in my current life.

[Funny, because he thinks Diva's very pretty herself.]

No, when she died, she was reborn as me. Though...she does eventually eat her brother. [Setsuna's seen Karl do that - it still creeps him out.]

Not...really. He had a metallic taste to him. At least, that's what I recall. Maybe it was different for her. I'd have to ask.

[ she shrugs and yawns, clearly not the answer she was expecting. Of course he was metallic. Perhaps Setsuna just didn't like that taste. ]

[It was because he was made of wires, not the metallic taste of blood. But Setsuna's bad at describing things.]

[ she raised an eyebrow and yawned again ]
