As many are. And people till listen to Bowie? That's rather gratifying. I didn't waste my laundry money on records for nothing.

Alas i have spent the past six years or so in a world that hasn't even managed to invent the gramophone yet.

Only a little. I've been thinking of ways to modify a record player to run on magic but it hasn't quite worked for me just yet. And I believe it may be a step too far yet to introduce to Ingary.

In the mean time I hoard cassettes when I'm home.

Not quite. Do you remember lazer discs?

Perhaps. My nephew may have mentioned them. He's rather into all this technology business.

Basically, music is condensed onto small compact discs, or it's digital files stored on portable devices-- the second method is quickly making the first obsolete.

Regardless, I still think there are some things that should /only/ be listened to on records.
