The last thing she actually remembered before being here was James-- the gorilla. That massive hulking beast that they ran into while trying to find the stasis chambers.

Well, that is one thing she has working in her favor, Jasper and James will certainly be looking for her.

She'd already tried to contact S.H.I.E.L.D's network for a Sitrep, and was unable to get a signal. Calling for an Evac. is looking like it's out of the question. So, she guesses it's time to switch tactics.

Her face is impassive as she looks into the screen. Blue-green eyes flick across the display then raise to glance around, before settling back on the screen.]

This is Agent Natasha Romanoff. S.H.I.E.L.D ID 31339. Code name Black Widow. This is an official request for information concerning my capture.

[Following the spoken words, she can be seen a moment before the image goes dark and the same information appears as a text message.]

[It doesn't take but a moment before she is back, a slight raise to her brows as she regards the device in expectation of response. This isn't the first time she's been captured, though, one of the first in quite some time that hasn't been orchestrated by her in an attempt to obtain information or part of a mission. She knows protocol.

She also knows that protocol doesn't always work in every situation, she prides herself in her ability to improvise, so she allows her expression to soften just a little.]

So, who wants to tell me what is going on? I'm pretty sure we'll all be happier if we do this the easy way.

[ He didn't really get to know Natasha the last two times she'd been to the City, but that doesn't mean he's going to let this slide. She looks like she could actually use a friendly face and if she's one of Steve's team it means she gets an automatic pass. ]

I guess y'don't remember the City much, huh? Need me to swing by and help you out?

[She regards the screen with slightly narrowed eyes, they widen just a touch.]

[Her brow creases, a breath and it's gone.]

I don't know this place at all. What happened?

[ He never quite got where she found out his real name from, but he figures there's a record somewhere. ]

Sometimes people come back and they ain't got the first clue where they are. But it's called the City, you've been here before. It's uh - I don't really know what they call it properly, but it's kinda like a nexus? People just get pulled in. And I guess today you're the lucky one.

Not, sure if I feel all that lucky.

[But he's here, that's a start. Though...something is off, very off.]

I guess it beats a giant gorilla with an automatic.

[Tossing a little feeler out there, darling.]

[ He just looks vaguely perplexed, but pretty much passes it off as one of those future things. ] Well, you missed all the crazy here anyway.

Most of the rest of the Avengers are here. [ Or the ones he knows of, anyway. ] Maybe that'll help?

[Shit. Her James would have probably found that funny...

A brow raises slightly, now she's not sure what to think...]

[A small pause.]

Is all you know about me from here?

We haven't really spoken a lot. You did threaten me with knives once though, I have fond memories of that.

[ Pause. ] But you knew my name anyhow, so I guess that means you know somethin' of me. [ Because she can't remember the City but she called him by James. ]

I see. [She smiles, a quick flicker across her lips.] Sounds about right on both counts.

[A nod.]

I do, but this device is not secure, and I do not feel comfortable speaking of it here.

Well, I'm just about to get off at the station so I can swing by wherever you are if y'want.

[ He sounds confused, but he's not about to just ignore it. ]

[ He's grinning though, soft and slightly amused. ] I'll be over as soon as I can.

[ Clint is surprised to hear that voice, wary of it because she's been and gone so many times, and he misses, the one person other than Coulson who he can talk to properly, trust completely without question, and he doesn't want to get his hopes up - he knows how this place works at this point.

He considers audio, at first, but then when she settles into the shot he decides to brave it out. ] Tasha?

Usually is. [Not like her to miss something that important. She smiles, a touch embarrassed at herself, and gives him a description of the surrounding landmarks.] I'll be right here.

[ It's another ten minutes before Bucky arrives, hands shoved in his coat pockets, a scarf wound tight against his throat. ]

[Why yes, look how formal. Sorry...]

[ The City always comes with a catch. ]

That's what they call me. [ Because masking everything with humour is the way to live. ] It's good to see. Stopping long this time?

[She spots him, probably before he does her. Waiting where she told him she'd be she stands when he arrives.

His face is too young, not weighed down with the guilt he carries with him all the time. She didn't think it was possible, but he's even more handsome.]

[ He's not really sure how all the Avenger stuff goes, barely picks up the basics from Steve and from Agent Coulson, but he can tell she's spooked. ]

I take it if security's what you're looking for the Blue Light's out. [ The corner of his mouth lifting. ] I live just down the road, only person who'll hear you talk there is Crepe. An' she can't talk.

[ It's okay, he's missed her blunt ways, and if she did start doing that then he'd really be worried. ]

We not good enough for you, that it? I'm wounded. [ He hesitates, turning a little more serious. ] Do you remember being here before?

[She's basically paranoid and suspicious all the time anyway.]

I'm not sure what the 'Blue Light' is, however I'm assuming it's a bar. [Clearly, she's a bit torn over this, the bar would offer cover, but private would likely be better in the long run.] I think that...Your place would be better.

[Well, yeah~ Who wouldn't miss that?]

You always did have a thin skin. [She shakes her head.] No, not at all.

Now you're just being mean. [ But it still comes with good humour, at least until his suspicions are confirmed. She doesn't remember. ] Does that mean I have to explain it to you all over again?

James is meeting me to explain. But I won't turn down an offer for further information after.

[ Maybe his skin isn't as thick as he likes to lead people to believe, because, that? Stings. He's her guy, the one she fights alongside, or at least he thinks he is.

But he shrugs, like it's no big deal. ] I'll be around. [ He doesn't know where she's from, so he tentatively adds: ] Coulson's here, too, if you want the thorough version.
