DELACROIX to VOID: 03-02-???? re: Anniversaries
[Marie Delacroix has been a denizen of this city for all of four and a half days. She has not yet wrapped her mind around this 'curse' nonsense, but when she later looks back upon her rather distinct lack of clothing and sudden desire to preen in front of a camera, she will be furiously indignant. For now, she just carries on using the camera as an impromptu mirror, watching herself in the feed as she puts on a wine colored lipstick.]
Zhe Von Braun launched on February 3rd in zhe company of the UNN Rickenbacker. Less zhan 'alf a year later, all of it's crew ees dead except for zhose who 'ave been taken over by zhe annelid parasite and one volunteer soldier 'o has been fitted with an illegal cybernetic rig at SHODAN's bidding.
Zhe ship was not ready for interstellar travel, zhe coolant tubes began to leak within a month. I was surprised that zhe entire structure did not shake apart as soon as zhe FTL was engaged. Eet was not a moment's rest keeping zhat hunk of junk in running order, and no one appreciated 'ow much work I put into eet, I deserve so much more appreciation zhan zhat.
[She toys with her hair quietly for a moment. Truly, this is the first time in a long time she has had a moment to herself. She may complain, but this is bizarrely relaxing.]
But at least zhe Von Braun was of modern fit. Eef I wanted to experience life from zhe beginning of zhe 21st Century, I would 'ave gone to a museum.
[What a shitty vacation destination... Sigh. She seems to be done for a moment, but then she remembers something, giving the camera a hard look.]
Who do I talk to about 'aving my pistol returned to me? Eet is of issue and I demand to 'ave it back.

That is very true. Given their upbringing, they believe they are to fight victoriously in battle then be wed to a woman who is deemed no longer battle worthy. 'Tis truly despicable. [It's why she will always fight for her father, it's why despite she's been told that she is to be wed, she will continue to fight. She can still be of use to him!]
