Hey, deities. I heard if I wanted somethin' from home, I should talk to you guys. So. I'm talking. Lets trade.

Rapunzel, can I stay with you for a while? I...made a trade for some stuff from home and now I'm blind for two weeks.

Sif, can we talk about changing up training a bit? I need to learn a new way of doing things.

[Mindy's face is serious. Flat, almost expressionless.]

Before I came here, I was told to act like a normal kid. Go to school. Make friends. Don't beat the shit out of people, even if they deserve it.

Lately, some people have deserved it and I'm lacking the tools I need in case this happens again.

Sounds tough all over.

So, let's make a deal.

It's a bitch and just isn't a promise I can keep here. I don't feel bad breaking it, though, because the person I made it to isn't here.

I have gear back home. Guns and things. I don't need all of it. Just some.

I had two Heckler & Koch USP Compacts, rail mounted tactical strobe, two bench-made balisongs, one SIG-Sauer P232 and I had a double bladed staff that screwed together in the middle.

I also had a hero costume [which she describes here, down to the wig] and custom made kevlar to go underneath.

What can I trade for that? I'm willing to go a month at most without something.

I've got some things to contend with at the moment myself, so let's keep this simple: two weeks.

You'd better be careful when you first get them back. They're dangerous enough when one can see them. Let us not think too long on what it might be like to have them and not be able to see them.

[ooc: Feel free to have this trade go through at any time hereafter. Mindy will be without her sight for two weeks, but she will have her complete list of requested items given to her. [She's still very traumatized over the circus, but Mindy probably shouldn't try to come to the apartment on her own if she's blind.]

I'm at my apartment. I packed already.

[Thank God she keeps her room organized enough to know where to grab shirts, jeans and everything else. It made this easier. Plus, Rapunzel didn't need to see the weapons she just traded for. That'd raise way too many questions.]

[She won't ask what stuff she needed.]

I'll come grab you. Be right there.

[The sooner she gets Mindy and back to the apartment, the better she'll feel. This last curse has really shaken her up.]

This doesn't change training, just so you know! I just gotta think differently.

[She'll be sitting outside her apartment, Mocha in her arms and her favorite Hello, Kitty backpack nearby. And she has her head tilted, listening to everything. She probably perks up some at Rapunzel's footsteps, turning her head towards her just slightly and smiling. She doesn't look directly at her. Just...off and to the left some.]

No, that's fine! I'm okay with still doing training.

[Rapunzel heads out, bringing the frying pan with her. She notices Mindy sitting outside her apartment, and she smiles at Mindy, even if she can't see it.]

Not to be creepy or anything, but did you know you make a really neat sound while you walk?

[Seriously, Mindy's finding this kind of neat.] I mean there are footsteps, sure, but then there's this neat swishing sound. It's probably your hair.

[Mocha barks slightly, trying to squirm out of Mindy's arms. She wants to meet the new person so Mindy lets her down. The dog is on a leash but Mindy lets her pull it to it's full length.] She doesn't bite. Just sniffs and then rolls over for stomach scratches.

I do?

[Huh. She never even noticed it. She's probably just used to it, though.]

It's nice to finally meet you, Mocha! Zucker's gonna be happy having another playmate around.

[Mocha barks and rolls over, just as Mindy said she would.] She's gonna love it. She keeps trying to play with my neighbors cat. My neighbor isn't happy about it but, eh.

Well, then this will work out great. Pascal's getting tired of trying to keep up with Zucker, I think...
