Well. These past few curses have been particularly awful.

Apologies to anyone who died or was maimed when I- we- ran amuck. It was the curse, I swear it is so.

Which brings me to my point, in an effort to try and ensure this does not happen again, I need someone to volunteer, to give consent for me to try and use a magical means to attempt to break the City's hold on them when next they are cursed.

It is not the thing that is evil, but the intentions behind it. My intentions are perfectly altruistic.

I know they are...but how sure are we that the object isn't evil? What if it corrupts its user if they use it for long enough?

Hold up. One thing. How does you getting consent to use magical means on someone else in a curse prevent you from doing bad stuff during a curse?

If those means are able to disrupt the city gods' power, then they can be used on anyone.

The Lady Sif seems unwilling to accept "we were cursed" as an excuse for the sacrifices.

Everyone else gets to brush off things they did cursed.

I think the deaths of innocents are considered less forgivable. [ Gods know why. ]
